Kay since I'm finally basically done with finals, except for one tomorrow morning, I can finally return to playing my Pokemons. So since I almost have that 1000 points in Dream World, I'm planning on making a Drizzle non-SS Team.
Politoad @ Chesto Berry
Drizzle :: Calm
252 HP, 148 Def, 108 Sp Def
- Rest
- Scald/Surf/Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
As much as I like Spec opening Drizzletoads, they're a little too risky for me to use confidently, especially since rain will be the core for my team. This set up is used to take advantage of Politoad's capable Sp Def stat and bulk allowing it to obtain 200 Def, and 250 Sp Def which is fairly decent for a dual wall. Without any speed investment, Politoad's Drizzle will have priority over the much faster Nintales in a weather tie.
Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Volt Absorb :: Modest/Naive
252 Sp Att, 252 Speed, 4 Hp
- Thunder
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- HP Water
I've always been a Jolteon fan but he's never really found a good niche in any of my teams. Hopefully this set will work well. With an already monstrous 130 base speed, I'm confident going Modest over Naive will do more good, especially with a Specs Thunder. A Specs Volt Switch shouldn't be overlooked as well; though not as potent as Darmanitan's Banded U-Turn, Jolteon's STAB bonus will make it come close. Not to mention Jolteon's gimmicky defensive Volt Absorbs that can sponge Electric attacks which could devour a Drizzle team.
Carracosta @ Leftovers
Solid Rock :: Sassy/Careful
252 Hp, 252 Sp Def, 4 Def
- Curse
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall/Stone Edge/Earthquake
- Waterfall/Stone Edge/Earthquake
Carracosta has magnificent synergy for a Drizzle team. With excellent base defense, only minor investment is needed for a Curse set. Carracosta pretty much has the bulk of Conkeldurr with one edge, Aqua Jet. Though lacking in physical power to use Aqua Jet as well as Conkeldurr can with his Mach Punch, the fact that he can do it in the rain makes it quite a bit more deadly. Besides Aqua Jet, Waterfall and Stone Edge and be used for his main STAB attacks, or EQ can be used to punish Electric types.
Accelgor @ Life Orb
Hydration :: Modest
252 Sp Att, 252 Speed, 4 Hp
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz
- Encore
- Yawn/Protect
Trying to find different special attacker for the team, besides Jolteon, lead me to Accelgor. Again with a faceburning base Speed stat, Modest would seem to be a better choice. Looking at Accelgor's movepool, it wasn't too bad except that there were two moves that stood out, Encore and Yawn. With Accelgor's blinding speed, he has one of the fastest Encores in the game, only next to Whimsicott. By why would you set Encore on something so frail? The beauty to it is that thanks to Hydration, Accelgor is not affected by status, meaning he can switch into a Pokemon that intends to Toxic stall one of my bulkier Pokemon not only to find that it has no effect on Accelgor, but to see that it's Encored onto it. For more threatening Pokemon, Yawn can be used to force a switch, or Protect can be utilized to scout.
Parasect @ Leftovers
Dry Skin :: Careful
252 HP, 252 Sp Def, 4 Def
- Leech Seed
- Spore
- Substitute
- Seed Bomb/X-Scissor
Parasect is one of those Pokemon who only work well in certain situations; this situation being rain. Dry Skin allows Parasect to recover 1/8 HP in the rain, add this to Leftovers recovery. Trying to figure out whether to choose Ferrothorn for this slot as my Sub-Seeder, Parasect seemed to shine more having 3/16 (aka three Leftovers recovery) at the end of each turn. Not to mention Spore works very well with Leech Seed. However, putting Parasect opens lots of weaknesses in my party, and does not provide the same bulk as Ferrothorn.
Dragonite @ Leftovers
Multiscale :: Adamant
252 HP, 52 Attack, 204 Speed
- Roost
- Dragon Dance
- Aqua Jet/Aqua Tail/Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
I've been quite fond of the bulky Dragonite sets for a while, and with Multiscale introduced, it's better than ever. This is the typical Bulky Dragon Dance set only with the moves slightly altered for rain. Originally planned to include Dragonite as a Mixed Scarf Sweeper, in order to take advantage of the STAB'd 100% Hurricane, I decided to go back to basics. With a single Dragon Dance and in the rain, Dragonite's Aqua Jet will be menacing, to say the very least making Extreme Speed look pale (though Extreme Speed is illegal with Multiscale lolol). There is also the option of Aqua Tail, which also looks quite fierce in the rain. Also the Earthquake is possible to, to take out those threatening Electric types and Rock types. Dragon Claw will be used as reliable STAB and Roost will be available for recovery.
I'm still giving the team some thought. The role of Dragonite and Parasect are still being debated. Also came across quite a few options, such as Empoleon over Accelgor as my Non-choice special sweeper. My fear right now are entry hazards which I'm currently pondering over. Anyways, any tips and opinions would be fine.

In the cat's opinion, everything will be smashed with Conkeldurr
except for maybe Dragonite
Parasect if you can spore conkeldurr
the biggest challenge the cat finds behind weather teams is going against entry hazards
but hopefully Accelgor's yawn can prevent this (although he's gonna be OHKOed by anything)

Yeah I took into account that Parasect will be my hard counter to Conkeldurr with Carracosta and Dragonite will be soft counters to Conkeldurr. Well my previous Dragonite set up was a hard counter having Hurricane to sweep Grass and Fightings.

Everyone assumed since it's a quadruped, it could only run around and stuff with it's legs. And the fact that it has a horn, everyone assumed it used that.
But no, there's a sword hidden there. What the hell?

Samurott is hot!

Yea, really wasn't expecting it to pull a sword off of it's arm. I mean, it's totally understandable, since Dewott did it with his shells, but yea, the fact that it's a quadruped totally just made me think that it's horn was the sword. But that just makes Samurott that much cooler.

Yeah, that random sword from its opposite leg threw a curveball at me. Then again, how would it use Razor Shell if it still had it?
