Rank 1 OLD SKILL -> Can no longer rank
Rank F NEW SKILL -> Can rank, same power as Rank 1 OLD SKILL
The Rank F of the new skills allow you to rank it up even further.
They're also obviously going to make new transformations for the new skill too.
@Chaosruler: How about having the Rapier be the opposite of a Lance? Let it have an extremely long combo (7+), but loses exactly 1 dura with Smash and Assault Slash. After performing a full combo, have the player slow down to a walk for a short while (Due to the combo being exhausting), except for Elves, whose agility alows them to quickly recover.
The Rapier is mainly a weapon designed to do a barrage of slashes that stun the enemy for a long time, but does low damage. It can't be used with a shield, as it would impend the movement of the blade.
While we're talking about weapons, how about we make Crossbows more unique somehow?
Its like you want elves to be able to camp with everything.

If crossbows get any improvements the benefits should go to humans exclusively.

Okay, here's my idea, I don't have a name for it yet:
Requirements: Must have bow and arrow equipped.
Steps:
Step 1: User loads 6 arrows that each deal normal (100%) damage.
Step 2: User fires them each arrow in succession, each arrow knocks targets caught in hit box up (into the air a bit).
Step 3: User springs high into the air where enemies are and performs a sort of vertical windmill with their bow (they hold it upright as normal and spin it to hit the enemies with it).
Step 4: User does a back-flip kick which knocks the foes behind the users position in the air and onto the ground behind and below the user.
Step 5: User loads a Magnum Shot in the air and fires down at enemies. This magnum shot's damage will be equal to the damage of whatever the user's magnum shot rank is, but it will have a splash effect regardless of rank.
Step 6: User crashes down upon enemy with a kick that deals normal melee damage while they are down, and while flying down loads arrows into the bow and fires them into the enemies after landing. A minimum of 2 arrows will be loaded, but otherwise the arrows loaded will be equal to the number of enemies caught in the attack.* Each of this arrows will deal normal damage to one enemy (unless there is only one enemy, in which case the enemy will receives two blows) and will have a certain % chance of instantly killing the enemy.
Step 7: User jumps back off of foes (that are hopefully dead) and lands in original starting position (except facing the other direction).
Notes:
Ranking up the skill will increase the chance of instant kill from step 6, as well as the loading speed of when the skill is originally used. It will also increase the critical hit chance on [UB]this skill[/UB], and the stat bonuses will be to strength and dex.
The maximum number of enemies that will be able to be caught in this skill will be 6.
* If there is one enemy, two arrows will be fired (the one enemy will receive both arrows). If there are two, two arrows will be fired (each enemy will receive one arrow). If there are three, three will be fired (again, one for each enemy). If there are four, four will be loaded and fired. And so on and so forth (still a maximum of 6 arrows).
Here is a key and diagram of what the skill might look like:
Edit: Never mind, the formating didn't work.
I hope the diagram somewhat makes sense... I tried my best. So what do you guys think? I'm thinking that maybe I ought to make it require a special bow (something with spikes on the top and bottom to supply the damage from the vertical bow windmill), as well as a certain rank of Arrow Revolver and Magnum Shot. Bowmen need a new skill, right?

Elves already have the ability to camp with everything. /has wm camped and regular melee camped someone before.

learn how rapiers work pls it is evident that you have no idea what ur talkin about
In Mabinogi, the Lance is a weapon that can be used in normal combat, with or without a horse, although in real life, it was almost always used on a horse.
These ideas are for Mabinogi, and it's quite obvious that Mabinogi does not follow every single rule in life.
@OizenX: Anybody can camp.
Melee camp - Windmill spam
Ranged camp - Quite obvious
Alchemy camp - Water Cannon
Magic camp - Ice Bolt (Normally)
Any race can camp. They all have access to the same skills normally used for camping. And either way, Mabinogi does not revolve around PvP, in fact, PvP actually makes the game worse in my opinion (Broken much?). Just like Giants have an easier time with a Lance, Elves would have an easier time with a Rapier.

Ive always thought that a cool skill would be to update the bolt spells so that they could be cast on yourself, granting the element you used to your attacks.
There could be passive skills that when ranked, would increase a specific attribute depending on the element for a short length of time (-15 seconds) without cooldown. It would have to be balanced, perhaps a mana drain depending on rank or something.
Fire=max damage
lightning=movement or weapon speed
ice=weapon stun time
it doesnt sound all that hard to implement to me, and would reward players for trying a new style of combat, mainly the battlemage style of bolts+melee.

I said that wrong, i ment that it would make using magic and melee together much more interesting and possibly make more people want to try it. As it is now the only people i see using bolts are begginers. High level mages wont use them because int magic is better, and melee users wont use them because they never branched into magic enough for it to become fast or strong enough to consider using.

Why do I keep picturing people casting Firebolt on themselves and getting knocked back repeatedly.....
It's quite funny actually.

Can we all remember that humans are the "round-about-race" in other words they shoudn't have specific skills "why??" because the elves and giants r the specific ones, as soon as u give a human it's own skill u kill the "jack-of-all-trades" idea =P, humans r taking a back seat and im glad to see it,
It's about time they learned there place as the middle race.:lol:

Actually, they excel in the fact that their storyline is so much better than Elves/Giants.

I thought of something for the Archers. since they have little bow action
Quake-Shot;
[Image: http://i53.tinypic.com/2nkktgy.png]
The user Builds up Energy in His/Her Bow and blasts it on the ground causing a earthquake knocking back all enemies caught in the Area.
- The skill Uses alot of stamina(50+)[Mana maybe]
- Long'ish load time
- Effects all enemies around the ground where the arrow crashed into.
- The arrow can be shot Next to the user and afar aswell
- Dosent cause arggo
- Dose Little/medium Damage
- Dex and STR increase dmg
- The skill loads for a set amount of time(After its Loaded it can build up dmg/AoE before the user uses it)[Also uses stamina at its charging stage]
- Always a 100% shot

To launch an arrow with that much force will surely break the bow!
