But do you get transformation XP on the boat? I guess I have to go test this out :)

I think I have already said it, you don't get xp on the boat, at all.
I will update about the trans base effects.
Btw, I used trans on legends, flicker's electric ball knocked me out of trans animation, and I am max xp, trans'd, with a full gauge of SP bar unused. (Not sure abut whether or not I am getting my trans exp or not, since I wasn't paying attention at that time.)

If you trans on a boat, does it still use 10 ap?

From what I'm aware you need 10 AP to use it, but it won't actually take away your AP.
Edit: Can somebody please explain how grasp works? On the skill description it says something about projectiles, and I've seen people call then "missles," but I've never actually seen it in action. What is it? How does it work? Is that whole chain of Grasp skills worth maxing?

Missiles = grasp. Basically whenever you do anything that requires smash key, you have a chance to proc them.
Maxing it is optional, entirely up to you.

Thanks for the quick reply! What's "proc?"

Processed random occurence. Basically when you say "it has a chance to proc" it means "it has a chance to occur" (whatever the effect is that is proccing)

Thank you. :3

No problem. I ask enough questions on the boards that I felt that I should try to answer some :) Besides, you've helped me out on a couple of posts in the past if I recall correctly.

Yea, haha, thx.
I actually saved up 3 points of trans point thinking I could add them all into SP gain right when I reach the level, then realized it's 5 points invested...
What a bummer.
LOL, I did the same thing.
One thing I didn't see mentioned:
Changing anything on the equipment section of the inventory screen will allow for another transformation on the boat (or inside the dungeon, after the host starts the mission). In other words, armor, accessory, and weapon swaps also reset the "transformation used status", not just quick slots).
Also, I can confirm the broken shield piece, but I also thinks it's worth noting that the "transformed" shield can break during the time you're transformed. Again, the "transformed" shield is a different shield than the one you were using before activating transformation, so the normal shield will return to whatever state it was in, regardless of what happened to the shield in your transformed state.
I wonder if similarly it's possible to break sections of armor in the transformed state...
Oh, and blocking also can proc the projectiles. (Yes, I laughed when I saw how many veteran gnolls were dying just by attacking me.)
P.S. Even if Fiona enters the dungeon without a shield, she'll gain one to use by transforming.

Do you happen to have a screenshot of the broken shield?
(Not much doubt, I just have a thing for broken shields.)
And does the armor meter when alt is held applied to the trans shield too?

No...but it looks the same (i.e. no broken/damaged model). I can take a screenshot if you like, or you can run Friends and counter attack everything without the fire buff, which is what I did.

Yes

Hmm... i thought I posted this, but anyway.
Can you check on the DEF bonus from broken shield, and no shield when trans? Since I don't have a Fiona, I can't check it myself.
Thanks.

I'll take a look at it later. For now, I can tell you that the shield that transformation provides (when you don't actually bring one) cannot be used to counterattack, or whatever-it's-called-where-you-can-start-at-the-third-swing-after-perfect-blocking, but it does negate damage. So basically, it works like a large shield.
Other bizarreness I didn't mention earlier: If you have no weapon nor shield equipped, and transform, you'll still have a shield. However, if you sit (or perform other actions that make your shield "disappear"), it will remain gone (visually anyway...you can still do the block and heavy stander animations). I have yet to test if you can still negate damage like this or not as I've only messed with this stuff on the boat.

So you won't have a weapon huh, that's funny.
Fist fighting paladin!!!!! Oh LOOOK I CAN BLOCK WITH MY HANDS.
