Antec, Corsair, and Seastone are the best PSU brands.
Antec and Corsair don't actually make their own PSUs. Antec's PSUs are made by Seasonic, Delta, Fortron, Channel Well and in one case, Enhance. Corsair PSUs are made by Seasonic, Channel Well and in one case, Flextronics.
Point is, many of the PSUs sold by Antec and Corsair are also sold (under a different name) by the original manufacturer. So by extension, these companies can be pretty dandy too. Seasonic in particular is also very popular.

3rd break
Hard Drives and SSD
Hard drives and SSD store information like videos, games, music, Windows OS, etc. It's important you get a high quality hard drive like Western Digital or Samsung. Seagate's decent. Mainly because you dont want your hard drive to die.
Size: Go for 1TB. It's the perfect size
RPM: How fast the hard drive spins. The faster it spins, the faster data transfers from the hard drive.
Caches: Used to hold recently accessed data like deleted files. Not important.
Platter: the density of the Hard drive. Ranges from 250-667. If you have the choice, get the most dense for the best stability.
That said just buy Western Digital Blacks or Samsung Spinpoint F3.
SSDs are like hard drive except data loads mucho faster, quiet, and less prone to failure than hard drives The problem is they're so expensive. You can get a 1TB hard drive for like $70 while a 120Gb is like $250 To be honest, you dont need SSDs... at all. The price is only reasonable when it's $1/1GB
Cases
The most fun computer part to buy. because you get to make your computer look awesome. (another thing desktops are better than laptops at). Just get the size that fits the length of your video cards, best cooling,
Full Tower: the most spacious size for stuff. Allows for the best ventilation (cooling). However they take up a lot of room
Mid Tower: Don't take up that much room but less space. a Mid tower case holds about 3-4 fans. It can still fit multiple video cards, and hard drives.
Small towers: If you want a portable computer, just get a laptop. These things arent made to perform well.

Thanks soonmuch Cat. Im probably going to end up buying an expensive gaming midtower. also going with 8Gb oF Ram

Actually 4GB of RAM is fine. Unless you're multi-tasking with resource intensive apps or going for high end media applications you won't really use more than 4GB (in such situations other RAM specs would probably be just as if not more important anyway). I game fine with Crysis Warhead at 1920x1080 and maxed settings and people game fine with Crysis 2's new dx11 content with 4GB of RAM.

Well if the price gap is huge, then I'll buy the 4GB one, but if it's only like an extra 20 dollars, I really don't mind getting the 8GB.
Can't decide if I want a Black tower with blue lights, or red lights.

Price gap probably won't be that big but honestly, you're probably better off spending the money on RAM with lower CL or something rather than getting more of it. CL8 or even CL7 if it's within budget. Buying 8GB would mostly be spending money on something you're not ever going to use (unless of course you do go into super multi tasking and such).

Honestly, warranties aren't worth it, and it'll just cut into getting better parts. If your set on spending 1k only. Obviously cat's build will not work as you'll be spending 1.2k or so. I'll post a build i was looking at for my brother a couple days ago. It should fit everything your looking for and for just a bit over 1k.

heavy but its really sturdy
it looks good
reviews saying the cable management is bad
but that's not too terrible as long as it works.

heavy doesn't really matter, does it?
It looks pretty!
I need to start looking at desks too... so I can figure out if i wanna put it on the floor, or on the actual desk.

EDIT: I didn't see the rebate. Post rebate it's pretty good. I didn't pick it because I wanted cable management and a bottom facing PSU but it's really not bad. Personal preference really.
Still, I'd recommend just sorting what newegg has by price (cheapest first) and pick something you like the look of.

By the way, how long will the parts take to get to my house, once I order them?

when buying from newegg, buy everything at once
because you want to make sure everything is compatible
newegg only allows up to 30 days return
anyways,
shipping depends on where you live
