Well just recently my dad has taken a liking to my new computer (which I built and paid for) and has started to use it over his perfectly functional one. (well 2 actually) It started out with "oh let me check my email quickly". Then it progressed to "let me just scan some documents" (even though he can just send them to his laptop). Then it progressed to just using it to check his email in the morning without asking me. Then it progressed to "you're not doing anything important let me use your computer." Then he proceeds to use it for the rest of the night.
I mean its a combination of an invasion of my personal space, not asking my permission, closing downloads half-way through such as iTunes updates, closing Maibnogi while I have my personal shop open, taking the computer when I'm talking to my friends, etc.
What do I do? I don't know how to confront him because then he'll just say "you're just playing Maplestory, I actually pay the bills yadda yadda". (he thinks that every game I play is maplestory for some reason.)

Well, you kinda ****ed yourself by letting him on it in the first place, unfortunately.
One thing you can do...is password lock it, change the password if you've already done that, don't leave a password hint or a hint that's easily guessed, and log out/lock it whenever you're not on it, even if you're just going to the bathroom. If he wants to get on while you're in the middle of something, lock the workstation and walk away.
I really don't understand why he would even do something like that in the first place..

Lock his @ss out of the computer. You put the dam thing together, he should at least ask you. Tell him to go use his own if you're doing something.

He'll tell me to unlock it because, ehem
"What if I have to do something important?!?!?!"

If its that important he can do it on his own computer, he has 2 perfectly good ones.

Talk to him about it.
Mention how you're the one who paid for it, so it's yours, He may pay the bills, but he didn't pay for your computer.

Yeah guys but the thing is my computer turns on the fastest. That's why he started to use it in the first place.
;-;
Still I guess I'll password lock it but that doesn't solve my problem in the long run. I'll have to confront him somehow...

Tell him to clean his up, then they'll start faster.
You could even help him, make it a bonding session or something. Then maybe he'll stay off of yours.

My dad and I are pretty close, in certain ways. Not in this way - he's going to take this the wrong way.

Yeah I kinda really don't get this either.

Get a bunch of startup programs to make your computer run slower, then delete them after your dad decides his own computer is faster.

HAHAHHAA
also changing the password seems a bit too passive to me, probably better you discuss it with him
