While exploring kr test i found this little thing

S6/R6 is a lot easier to get than Elsinore/Level 50 ego or the new sword. Before I quit I got an r6 HLB, an r6 Wing Bow and an r6 Francisca... 0 Elsinore Swords and 0 level 50 egos.

just because you were lucky doesn't mean its easy lol ego/lightning sword/elsinore, they are all pretty fixed rates. 45% for r/s 6 is pretty much just luck.

HLB for example. Lucky luck excluded. You'd want 3 HLBs for R6, 2 to blow up and 1 to hopefully succeed. You'd need to get good artisans (NX), [S]enchant them (NX)[/S]- no I'll exclude this since you can do that post-S/R, upgrade stones (gold), the bows themselves (gold)... how much is a HLB these days? 10-15m? 45m, add in upgrade stones which is lets say 50 each? 150 then, price is cheap lets say 200k. 200kx150=30m so 75m for a weapon + the enchants, wont include the enchants themselves lets say you use 3 NX pots (not bad) 24k NX, add in 3 bows of artisans, another 26k sounds reasonable. 75m+$50 for S/R 6 HLB. Costs about 75m to get to 44 social on a weapon. Elsinore is what 14x5x5 cobwebs, which is about 40m (rounding up). That lightning sword costs nothing but time, a month or so.

If you're rich or lucky, yeah go with the S/R.

Conclusion:
Elsinore = 40m and time to buy all the webs (excluding farming which is free)
Lightning sword = no gold but time (roughly 1-2 months) (pure farming)
S/R6 HLB = 75m & 50k NX and time to buy all the mats/bows/etc (excluding farming which is free)
Ego = 75m (roughly) for 50/50/50 and time to raise it

Yet in Alexina there are many, many people with high grade/artisan/enchants r6/s6 weapons and many of them have more than one of this kind of weapon... however, not a single player has Elsinore or all 50 ego despite both of those being implemented much earlier. If that does not show that one is easier to obtain than the other, then I don't know what does.

If Ducat weapons are tradeable, I'd sell Caladbolg for an insane amount of gold and go for R6 Broadswords.

Battleswords are only +9 Max,[S] -2 Crit [/S]over Broadswords, which eventually gets negated by being over 999 Str in DK.
Plus the higher repair cost and extra 1 square per sword.

If you get to R5, 45% isn't that bad of a gamble. It's just the horrible chance of getting to R5 in the first place that's the trouble.

The numbers speak for themselves. I've seen quite a few players with 5-6 r/s upgrades. I can think of perhaps four people that have a spirit weapon over social level 41 on Alexina.

Not to mention, gold and stones can be duplicated easily. Even if someone duplicated 10cm diamonds, it would still take weeks to obtain a powerful ego.

This update improved the variety of spirit weapons. They're still outclassed by upgraded weapons.

Many people are either lucky or rich :) A lot of people also get discouraged by the gathering of webs or amount of time feeding an ego. I suppose it's not surprising most people go with the more expensive, quicker, alternative.

Thank you. Not to mention you can't dupe diamonds anyway, not without a more risky duping process. Elsinore and S/R are the easiest to dupe by far.

Regarding egos, I was told that 10cm diamonds are sold for 250g in test server (you can feed 8 per mood) and that you can buy fully proffed HLBs from NPC... Anyone in test feel like maxing out an HLB ego and see what its stats are? ;D

I know that abc33kr and Herro are working on getting spirit weapons to All/50. They could then transfer the capped spirit to another weapon.

I'm very slowly updating the stats of the spirit crossbow. The only other crossbow near my level is owned by a player on JP Mabinogi. I wish I knew its final stats.

I guess it's all on the server.

Also 1 person who was VERY close getting an Els legitimately.

Rarely anyone with r/s6 weapons though
