I believe that Science is mankind's revelation or realization of the world around us.
Think about how many times science has changed!
Atomic Theory is an excellent example.
It's natural for human beings try their best to understand the laws that surround us. That's what science is all about.
Laws were present he moment the universe was created, not when human beings discovered them. People didn't always know about gravity.
As for getting something out of nothing ... I believe it would technically be thermodynamically "improbable" since it would have to be a process requiring high entropy (randomness). Even if you got something to be created, you can't compare that something to the complexity of not only our Earth, but our universe.

Also known as Strong Nuclear Force.
Funny you should mention Strong Nuclear Force.
Look at the diagram carefully and tell me whats wrong with it.
If you guessed that there are two particles with
positive charge being
attracted to each other, you are correct.
Like charges attract, whereas opposites repel. We know that due to observations with magnets.
It is a known scientific fact!
But at the atomic level, protons are held together in the nucleus - when in reality they should
repel!
So? What do scientists do with this discrepancy? They call it
"Strong Nuclear Force" and claim that charges can differ from the macroscopic and atomic level!
(How does that stance agree with the nature of chemical reactions? O_O)
Strong Nuclear Force cannot be
measured nor quantized. Yet, there it is. Being taught as Science. I learned about it in AP Chemistry. But likewise a belief in God is crazy. Just crazy.
