I know one of the sophomores in college this year is called "Wing". It's unusual, but I think it's kind of cool. xD
I saw someone suggest Freya. I think that one's nice.

Oh and, for Ophelia... you could also shorten it to Lia for a nickname.

I got it! Jane Doe, perfect enough to be anonymous.

How about you learn to love your name for what it is?
Unless it's something unappealing like Shawakatifa or Helga, I don't think your name can be so bad.
Names don't "fit" personalities. They don't make them. Personalities make the name.

True, but there's no obligation to keep the name given at birth, especially if it proves more bothersome for that person. Far more than a name that "fits" a personality, I think it's suitable for someone who takes that much issue with one's birth name to pick a name that's not only likeable, but with which said person can live. Even ignoring the reasoning behind disliking a certain name, there are quite a few names out there I'm sure people would return in a heartbeat. Even without getting into historically controversial names, there's always the chance one's parents slipped up when they decided that Tapioca would make a good name.

Not everyone likes their name, Phunkie. You gotta respect that.

Of course, if you can't learn to love your name, then by all means change it. haha
Just give it a shot first. Sometimes people learn to recognize the value of something after they lose it and I don't want that to be the case here.

Then go through everything again and change your name right back! xD As for some names, this might be common, but I really like Rosalyn, Jaquelyne, and Rei(pronounced rey/ray).

Oh, don't get me wrong. I understand completely. Depending on the spelling of my rl name, for instance, one could infer that I was either Jewish or Muslim. My parents, who are of one persuasion... kind of gave me the wrong spelling, which has actually raised quite a few eyebrows in my life. And that's ignoring all the times my name has been mispronounced/misspelled by people of neither persuasion. But this name is mine. And I can live with that. I just know there are many people out there who couldn't.

"Clara" is one of my favorites. It's a bit uncommon, but not rare. In my opinion, it has a sort of youthful sound to it as well, I'm not sure if you like that.
