Whaaaaa? Why?
You can read a thread that would normally take you an hour (say 30 or so pages) in like 10 minutes. There are no avatars, sigs, or unnecessary things that distract you. You get the information you were looking for, plain and simple. Plus it loads super fast. 8D
It's plain, boring, and lifeless. If you only care about efficiency then you're free to do it yourself, but I enjoy treating my eyes to pretty things.

I came up to a page like that. I think those are just where Archived Threads end up is in a layout like that cause I looked up on google on my ipod the other day the anime store for my old touhou poster thread and that's what came up. It helped me locate the anime store though cause I forgot it's name.

It is lifeless. Sure that it cuts to the point without signatures and such to make you scroll more, but I like the color that paints all of the pages.

i think we'd save a lot of trouble by simply going with something like this:

[Image: http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt305/darkzero46/Perfection.jpg]
It loads almost instantaneously and would allow people with crappy 1mg internet connections to browse everything.
Feels like we should go pre-Nexon forums style.
:awesome:

Sigh. A lot of people are making a hugeass deal out of this.
Be grateful that we didn't even have signature restrictions before, hmm?
but in the end, TL;DR: you all take up my whole screen so whatever.
300px isn't that bad to deal with, guys.

Definitely been reporting quite a few people over the signature regulations.
There's been a few that I've reported and hasn't got their signatures removed... yet.
I'm still fully agreeing on the regulations of the signature, too many people with too big of signatures.
Especially some being big and seizurish...
:shoe:
By the way, I'm still waiting for my picture to be done by Otto, so I can work on my signature.

We are not going to hammer down on people for now, we'll give time to adjust, meaning if we see someone that doesn't fit the regulation we will let them know, and expect them to change the signature as needed. After about a week or so we will start editing signatures ourselves when spotted.
^
it's been barely over a week
chill out
honestly I don't see the point of reporting it unless it's bothering you
and with your huge sigs
I doubt it does

No, reporting is good. But don't expect us to take harsh actions just yet. We will either nicely ask them to change it, or change it for them and inform them of the new rules however.

Honestly, I don't see a problem with it if it's a tad bit over the limit
example
265pixels instead of 250

That's what
rules are for. That just opens a whole line of arguments that we don't even want to have to deal with. There are upper limits set and
those are the upper limits. We aren't going to set some iffy barrier and say "Oh, well if it's within 15px of this range" or "25px of this range.." "50px of this range..." You see? Where does it stop?
There are limits for a reason, and they're going to have to be enforced. If someone needs help with their sig, there's
a thread for that.
And if you just happen to disagree with our judgment, then as Juno said:
Quote from Juno;621622:
In the end, we'll see how this turns out and possibly adjust the values later. If something seems really off then we'll re-evaluate.

I'd suggest that the mods give a warning that the signature is too big. If it isn't changed within a day or so many hours, then a mod changes it themselves. If that's too much to ask, then they can just change it themselves.
