  here's the thing though
  a majority of the people in jail for it did one of these things
  
  1. steal to feed their addiction
  2. sell it
  3. got caught transporting it
  
  and the reason for #3 is typically because their driving was horrible because they were ****ed up on the stuff
  public endangerment? I say yes.
  and I'm not just talking about weed here
  
  legalize weed?
  fine.
  but do make it like alcohol where it can't be done in public
  where if you are stoned in public you get charged with public intoxication like with alcohol
  if you show up to work stoned you can be fired
  get caught driving while high?

  I understand public endangerment. That goes for anything in moderation (such as sex while driving).
  
  I'm unsure on selling drugs. After all, we sell tobacco and alcohol, but not other things such as marijuana and cocaine. I'm curious as to the amount of leeway for legalized drugs have, and why they are accepted compared to the latter.

  Well my main problem with selling it is, no matter what anyone says it is a gateway drug
  
  ask any drug addict what was their first illegal drug (excluding cigs and alcohol)
  I bet you they won't say

  it would be weed
  "of this feels awesome, I wonder what this other **** feels like!"
  and since selling weed is shady as **** since it's illegal
  it can be sold to minors without a problem

  but it's just one way to prevent it
  if it were legalized this wouldn't be a big deal because it would probably sold in stores which would require ID to buy it
  but the other two factors is why I definitely don't want it to be allowed

  But you CAN eventually get tired of it, like I got tired with taking bribes because I wouldn't feel a right sense of accomplishment, or drinking wine because I didn't feel so great drinking glass after glass everyday, for a while. So repitition in itself wears you down, just like all games where if you play the same thing over and over, you get bored. So then you would try something new or give up as a whole.

  I agree completely, but that's why I think it's a gateway drug
  they get bored with weed so they move onto something stronger, dangerous and then the next thing you know they're a full on drug addict
  I would love to say that everyone who does drugs is a hard working individual who is just trying to boost their happiness
  WHICH THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE LIKE THAT
  but those people you see in jail are most definitely not that type.
  
  Now about the wine
  that's what I started out with but then I went to hardcore liquor
  which made it a million times harder to shake it off
  
  Which you got bored so you quit, that's great! I applaud you for that (no sarcasm)
  
  But not everyone does that
  not even a majority of people do that
