I watched horriblesub version.. I can confirm that the translation is relatively good..
Still, there is one thing I find odd.. How will they preserve their physical body? At best they can survive 3 days without water..

They get taken to hospitals, and they're given leeway time to be disconnected from the server in order to be taken to the hospital.
Also because rofl future, they have advanced medicine and whatnot preserving their bodies.

Watched the first episode. It seems enjoyable so far.
One of my guild members posted an image of the "Mirror" part, and said it was the guild. 8D;;

I meant to read/watch this but when I saw there was only 1 episode I kind of eh...so I guess I'll start reading the manga. I'm in desperate need of one to read.~

Just so you know, the manga is starting off at a much later point than the anime, so you're going to inadvertently spoil yourself of what's to come in the anime.

Oh I see...Well, I usually spoil everything when it comes to anime anyway haha.

*Only read the spoiling warning after she spoiled herself*
*Regret looking up the manga before waiting for the anime*

I have such a long list of things I need to play, watch, etc, that waiting for the episodes for this won't really be a problem. I think I'll avoid spoiling myself for now.

For those interested in the manga, the group doing it takes forever to release it. I'd suggest reading the novel, but since the animu apparently is following the chronological order, like pika said, you guys would be spoiling yourselves!
Hey pika, we novel readers are Beaters now, lol

Being a Beater sure feels good. Can't wait for them to finish translating the recently released 10th volume.
Edit : Read another post on another forum I go to and apparently they rushed through this episode and Kirito already has his black cloak. Sounds disappointing, though I'll have to watch for myself before I make any judgement.
Edit Edit : Yeah, they really rushed it on this ep. They really could have done a better job for this one, like how during the boss strategizing meeting they only animated, "Hey guys, this is the boss and this is what he does. Let's kill him!" and didn't even bother mentioning how they planned on attacking it. Not to mention, barely any character interaction with Kirito and Asuna. What is this bullshit.
Anyway, next episode is Rudolph. I'd imagine they'd be able to go through this one quickly too, but I'm at least hoping they did a good job on it.

So this is .hack?

Nope, in .hack// Tsukasa was the only one who couldn't log off. Death by Tsukasa's guardian, getting data drained and a few other things I forgot about led to you being put into a coma and not permanent death because the creator didn't intend for any of that to happen. So nope, has somewhat similar premise but they are ultimately different.

Bad Sign: As I was reading volume 8, there is a story back in SAO that happened on flour 57. One of the line in the novel contradict the events of episode 2 of the animated serie.
"Now that I think about this, this is the first time I'm teaming up with this girl. Of course, we've met many times as part of the clearing group, but she is the sub-leader of the strongest guild, and I'm just a small solo player, so we haven't had much chance to talk to each other."
if this is true, then they never actually beat the first boss of floor 1 togeter.

Yeah it's not the anime's Fault though, episode two of the anime was based on Aira of the Starless Night. Its a side story that was written by the Author of the LN. In that story Kirito and Asuna both team up just like in ep2.
They was teaming up as part of the Clearing group, and not as a random party for other reasons however if you want to justify it somewhat that way.
