But how is it any different from the current "world" after the flood?
I would think that killing people with a flood would count as murder on a large scale, but whatever.
Basically a reverse Elijah. We're talking about a civilization so horrible it's beyond salvation, it wouldn't be even called murder, it'd be akin to excising a cancer.

Think of a world where there were no Christian(I don't think this is the correct term for such a time since Christianity wasn't exactly made, but it's relevant) reformers and 7 deadly sins abundant everywhere, and those that weren't of those deadly sins popped once in a blue moon(Noah and his family). The world was so bad Noah's friends believed him to be crazy and insane and resumed drinking to their merrily delights. Much much worse compared to the present.

While it's not really on-topic :x
After the flood, God said he wasn't doing that again, ever. The world may be worse than it was then or not, but there won't be another flood or mass genocide.

But at the end of the bible doesn't he say he's going to cause an apocalypse?

I imagine God as a yandere.
God will give you unconditional love, but if you don't do what God wants you to do, **** will happen.
wish i read bible enough to confirm that.

But the 7 deadly sins came long after Jesus had died, and were established by the Roman Catholic Church. So that can't be the reason.
Even society nowadays don't give death penalty for those who excessively commit those 7 deadly sins.
Okay, maybe except for certain areas controlled by Taliban and other extremists...

The simple answer is that Lucifer is not sorry. Should he one day just stop all his misdeeds and ask forgiveness, I'm sure he would be forgiven. But, I don't think that would happen.

Yes, though it's not quite the same as what's been popularized. The earth isn't going to fall apart as everyone tragically dies upon it, such as in 2012 (the movie, in case anyone didn't catch that).

Maybe God needed an opposite, and since Lucifer was the first to oppose his will, he has since become that opposite.

Nope, it is just a very slow death where the sun melts away all the water from the Earth.

I somewhat remember hearing that God said he would instead rain down fire from the heavens instead of a flood the next time. Dunno, never payed too much attention to religion.

I do believe god is all forgiving, but I also think that he believes in worldly balance. Any time the world's population started to get out of control, a plague or a bunch of natural disasters happened, and getting rid of some filth in the process. Sure, there will be innocent lives lost, but that's the natural order of things. The choices made might not be fair for everyone, but one way or another it has to happen.

Well... probably. However, if it weren't for the Dark Ages, we wouldn't have learned to not go there ever again. (The "world" ruled by religion.)

Must be coincidence that certain natural disasters happen only happen in places with a certain geography. Earthquakes in the the area known as Pacific Ring of Fire, flooding in places with tons of rain, hurricanes in places near large bodies of water, etc.
Next time a natural disaster happens, let God know that he should kind of spare more of his worshipers, and kill more atheists/non-believers instead of just randomly killing people like a God that doesn't care about either or world where natural disasters aren't controlled by God.
