  Nexon has to shut down the servers and wait for a patch to fix it, even if it's just to fix the item/character deletion exploit for the time being, before there can be a rollback, or at least, that's what they should do if they were responsible. Because, what point would there be to rollback the servers before all of this happened? Sure everyone would get their items back, but what's to stop people from deleting the said items again?
  
  And if it's like the last duping exploit, Nexon won't do anything about it until the servers overseas get hit with this, where there would be an immediate server shutdown until an emergency patch can be created, then our Nexon would do a patch. Then the duping, if that did get patched along with the tent bug, would become private again until most likely around June, possibly April at the earliest, when the kids get out of school for an extended amount of time and they have nothing better to do all day.
  
  So, just log off if you haven't, keep sending tickets to Nexon, and if you know Korean and have a NexonKR account, try sending them something to let them know about this so that they can get a patch done quickly if they respond to it fast enough.

  Omg, I just had a scary thought, what if the broken messaging system is just phase one, and this is phase two? Might be I'm watching too much Arby n' the Chief, but there could be a chance that this is related... Either way, I might have to take a break from mabi after all. Also, send mail to your friends warning them, it's only way to communicate apart from hopefully being on the same channel and whisping.

  the point of the entire argument was to say that nexon/devcat have had these security flaws for god knows how long but they don't bother to really sit down and do something about it, which is indeed their fault, along with the fault of the players who abuse these flaws.

  There's a HUGE difference between people getting a crap ton of ap and people's characters being delete. Just drop it. Really.

  On an engine that dates back pre-2000's I do believe it would be quite hard for devCAT to ensure server/character stability while adding security to the actual client engine. If they did a complete overhaul of the pleione engine I think it would be a lot better. Which might be what their planning over in KR but who know's. Everyone knows they certainly have the money for it.

  This is a complete different situations, the ap given out doesn't affect anyone in a bad way, but this does there are people who are losing items and getting there character deleted how do you compare this to the ap given out ?
  
  IMO its really scary when someone can manipulate not only your character but the items inside your account like that, I really wish that nexon would do something to these people.
  
  they need to start making arrest or start suing, they need to start suing that one site that's causing all this problem. I just want to hear that someone get arrested maybe that will calm down all these hackings and stop it permamently.
