  Really good question there I hadn't thought about it and I can answer both of you at the same time.
  If we are actually going to use the Dragon Age setting I have no problem with having a Dragonborn race, I don't really nerd-rage over small details that we don't follow (atleast not ALL of them!) so unless you're gonna make a character that TOTALLY and completely contradicts what Dragon Age stands for I suggest just make your character so you have something atleast and you can just go back and alter it later. Also we're all going to be level 1.
  
  So I really think it's time for deciding on taking the Dragon Age setting or not. I'll give you guys until Monday 9th to decide that, I don't wanna start a campaign and have a bunch of people who'd be in on D&D not play because we're gonna use this specific setting.
  
  But to be more specific I'd have to review all the races and classes which I haven't had the time to do yet :imdead:

  I personally would rather have you just throw us in the world with stuff to do, since doesn't the PC game only allow for 4 party members? I would rather have everything a bit more flexible, at least that's just my opinion.

  I can't really answer anything else, but according to the 4th edition manual. Everyone starts off with 100 gold pieces (gp).
  Be sure to look carefully at the prices lol, I mistakenly at first didn't notice the silver (sp) and copper (cp) prices.
  
  Since this would be based off 4th edition, I think it's a good start.

  Yeah, I only asked because some people have specific rules for that. Like, in some games you ROLL a d100, so you end up starting with anywhere between 1 and 100 gold. Also, no one can make their actual character sheets until the issue of stats that I asked about earlier is established. Sometimes you roll 3d6 for each stat, and some games use what is known as the "standard Array" which gives you the numbers 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16 and you get to pick which stat gets which, but everyone starts with those same numbers. A lot of games use the standard array so that everyone starts on the same ground.

  I was being resourceful [S](not really)[/S] and I only had 7 gold pieces left over D:
  
  When I did my stats, I did the whole 8 in one stat, 10 on the rest and then you add the 24 "points" to whatever stats you want. I can't seem to explain it any better, I hope you understand what I'm saying lol.

  Well, if you're a monk you're not allowed to have more then like, 10 gp at any one time. Vow of poverty and whatnot. I don't think 4e has monks though, that was 3e.

  Well, the vow wasn't actually a part of the monk class. It was a separate thing that just required you to be a monk to use it. You are unable to carry more then 10GP at any one time, but it gave all kinds of bonuses.

  Found it. It was actually in the book of exalted deeds from 3.5. And I was wrong about monk being a requirement.

  and saving throws, as well as bonus exalted feats, all depending on
  your character level. See Voluntary Poverty in Chapter 2 for details.

  material possessions, with the following exceptions: You may
  carry and use ordinary (neither magic nor masterwork) simple
  weapons, usually just a quarterstaff that serves as a walking

  And yeah 100g would be too much in Dragon Age but if we use the 4th edition prices and what not it should be a good amount to start with. I myself wont be starting with that much gold as I'm a bard and will make money as I go, that is if I'm going to be playing a player character myself ;o

  I remember one DnD game, the DM was in a bad mood so he decided to put us in a no-win thing where everyone was going to die.. The monsters attacked and we were running away, then we slipped down a secret side passage to get ahead of the monsters and use a wand that made infinite rope to just fill the hall with a massive wall of rope so they couldn't get us.. xD
