I hate Lann trollers

  Problem is that generally, Lanns do suck. There are exceptions, yes. But a single person can ruin a Colru party and people just want to get the runs done sometimes. Stats are a quick and easy way to "determine" who will be liability, since people with better stats probably care more about the game and are less likely to suck. Also, there are exceptions here too but generally holds.
  
  And trying to get a grasp on someone's skill level with a character is impossible unless the person already knows you or they do a run with you and well, if they do a run with you and you're not as good as they hope then it was just a waste of time.

  Right, on this topic. Colru is probably where most of this kicking happens. The layout is just terrible for having any trust in other people. Far too often one person will use all of the torch revives, and then die. That leaves one room handicapped and forces all 7 other players (and especially the 1 person's partner) to play near perfectly. It's a lot of unnecesary hassle and stress that people don't want to deal with. At least in other runs, that person dying is his own problem. Runs like Colru force the party to rely on each other to not die, and trust between strangers is pretty rare.

I completely understand you feel slight negativity towards them as I do as well if I see someone with really low attack power that doesn't have an Ivory weapon, or if they have 1 bar. I try to not judge unless I see them fight. But about my defense, I have almost full force Raiders with Master on my Jacket and. . .I tend to do pretty good. If I die, it's my mistake sometimes, except in 8 man Glas runs (HATE THOSE SO MUCH).
  
  On-topic: I haven't ran into this stuff TOO much, especially because I do raids with my guildies and friends. But, I'd understand why they think that. However, I will say that when I use swords, I absolutely dislike high defense. Only if I use spears would I want high defense, and even then I don't want to have 8k/9k. 7k is pushing it slightly, I'd be fine with 6.5k and rather just learn to avoid. Whenever I play, I just rely on my own skill at dodging and avoiding stuff. Having high defense would make the game too easy in my opinion. The reason why is because. . .well, the chance for me to die becomes very low. Some bosses, like Spears on Glas is understandable, but just about everything else, no. If there isn't a chance for me to die, I'm pretty sure I'll start to get sloppy and slack off and just tank hits. *Shrugs* I seem to have a different view of Vindi from most others. Basically, I don't want to rely on high defense to do the most damage when I could just rely on my own skill and still do good damage.

  Well, I was typing somewhat quickly there. I sort of meant a comparable attack Lann with 4k Defence. I understand having low defence due to running a full Raider's set (while I don't think it's the most effective option). Random note, I have see a Lv. 61 Fiona with a fully black Raider's Set... using a Silence and a Horn Shield and having only 9k attack.
  
  High defence I find is somewhat necesary in order to solo, as you have to sacrifice safety for damage quite often when you're soloing. The ability to shrug off a few minor hits is extremely beneficial when trying to do things. That and I used Defence to slightly offset my lag, though it isn't too much of a factor for me now that I have a new computer. I have been feeling a bit unhappy with how sloppy I play now though, since I can just mash Butterfly all day and not die.
  
  There's just too much out there that you can't control. Connection lag as well as low FPS can really ruin your gameplay, and you can't control when either of those happen. That and sometimes the boss just insists on doing a really weird attack pattern that completely messes up your gameplay (like Thor charging at you 5 times in a row, you can't Slip Dash all of that while still attacking).

  What I think Slip Dash needs is to register hits as well. Blaster's Weave registers when Karok gets hit during invincibility frames, this allows him to weave right through those charge attacks that completely destroy Slip Dash. It's also probably a reason why Blaster almost completely outclasses Sword Lann (from what I know anyways).
  
  They probably need to give Sword Lanns a bit of what Blaster Karok has.

  You're going to have to dodge Lionotus by actually dodging him. It happens to Evies too, amber gets eaten up and damage is done. The first attack has to be evaded for us, so I guess you'll have to evade either the second claw or the tail.

  Dodge-able, I have tested and done this several times, the frame rates on a maxed slip dash are just enough to fit in the first two swipes and the pause between the last slip is big enough to allow for a third dodge for that swipe. But, this requires INCREDIBLE timing, only accomplished by a lot of practice.

  Not all of the fast 3 hits are impossible. Titan's 3 hit punch probably is, but Hero Black Hammers 3 hit combo isn't. I did Hero Black Hammer a few days ago and it's not really hard to avoid all 3 hits.

  I didn't ignore it, was just commenting on the 3 hits. And speaking of quadrupeds, what about The Giant Polar? He counts as one, even though he walks on two legs to glomp you :<.

  Thor is manageable on a Lann provided you're with 6+ people so Thor has more people to attack that aren't you. Rage mode can get to be pretty hard, but at that point if you're having real trouble you can just Trans away. I can usually manage top 4 damage on my Spear Lann (7k DEF) in Thor provided people actually res me the few times I die (hey, whatever). But I put both of my spear's enchants into speed (Leopard + Valor) which goes a looooooong way to adding to my survivability.
  
  Also, Lionotus is somewhat manageable as long as you don't try to attack too much (should be going for cliffing anyway). The claw -> spin around move is easy to dodge if it's directed at you, since I'm fairly certain you can sprint smash into the attacking claw and then just run straight away. Been awhile since I fought him on Lann, but replacing sprint smash with Slip does the trick for dodging that. The rest of his moves don't usually pose a problem unless you're spears I guess.

  Sword Lann here. I don't care what anyone says. All the random pubs would die 5 times before I even get hit.
