Hanako's route seemed to end very abruptly. It left me pretty disappointed, though I did enjoy seeing her character progress as the story went on.
I mean the whole ending, it was just like build up build up build up... story's over. wth.
Emi's still the best route by far imo. It's probably personal preference, but she was definitely the best to me. Most exciting too, and seemingly best written.
the cat thought Hanako's route was fit to end there
her conflict was resolved after all
Finally got through Rin's story. Saw it too the end.
It kind of irritates me of how sad and depressing the story is and how at any moment the story is going to end with a bad ending and then out of the blue the relationship comes together. Rin's is possibly the most frustrating story I have ever done. Emi's was very clean and clear cut but with Rin, you never know the right things to say. Can the relationship even last? Well I guess one can't change the past or the future. You can only deal with the present. That's what the ending of the story was. Dealing with just the present.
*sigh*
That was really hard and depressing. I've probably said that several times already but it really is. I need to clear my mind from that story for a bit. The music during the hard parts where things are bad is very fitting with it's urgent and depressing tone. It's funny how the music fits so well with the part of the story you are on. That's how you know that this game is brilliantly designed. When the music just fits with what's going on.
Hanako's seems like it will be a much different pace and feel than Rin's. I'm kind of scared to do Shizune's. Maybe I'll do her after Hanako and finish with Lily. Or should I do Lily, Shizune, and then wrap things up with Hanako.
I need some good buffer between a possibly depressing and difficult story.

Am I supposed to feel more attached to Lilly now? :what:

Okay at checkpoint. One choice will take me to lily, the other to Hanako. Hmm, Hanako or Lily...Koishi recommended I do Hanako last. Save the best for last huh?
Okay to Town we go!
Oh wow, Lily's story starts out great! This is going to be good. Even the intro was absolutely adorable! So cute! HNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!
I think I'm already falling for Lily already. This will be much better than Rin's. Good, I need a nice hard contrast to that.

Lilly's was better than Hanako's by a large margin imo.

Hmm, I think I'll take your word for it then as you seemed to like Emi as much as I did. Everyone else likes Hanako for some reason but until I do both, I won't know for sure. Lily's is starting out pretty good.

I really honestly couldnt choose a favorite. Some stories were slightly more depressing than others, and some were more confusing, but they were all really well thought out and written stories. You almost feel like you really know the characters. Its cool, and the best part is if you ever feel like seeing them again you can just replay the game!
Anyway, if this was in real life, i would probably end up with Shizune because shes the one i ended up naturally with on the first playthrough and probably would be good with my personality. But i would try very very very hard to be friends with all of the characters. Even if i am very very shy around new people.

I basically finished the game (98%) a few days ago, but I never really got around to posting here..
Lilly
I thought her story was nice. Though the fact that she basically wanted to screw every second of the day was both funny and slightly annoying. She comes off as more of the motherly/snuggly type, so it was odd to make her out to be someone that constantly craved sex.
Hanako
Her route fit her perfectly. I enjoyed both the true storyline and the bad ending, as both were something I could see happening were she a real person. The sex scene was a bit.. eh. Mostly due to her being uncomfortable for all(?) of it. Otherwise, I thought it was nice.
Emi
I also thought hers was fairly realistic. She had a nice, bubbly personality. And despite what many have said on the forms, I thought her willingness to have sex so early on just fit with her personality.
Shizune (feat. Misha?)
Honestly, I wasn't even going to do her storyline because both she and Misha annoyed the hell out of me. I hate girls like her, but thought I may as-well try it anyway. I thought it was a bit odd that we learned sign-language so quickly and fluently, but meh. I honestly saw the whole thing with Misha coming, but thought it was stupid how they give you the option of having sex with her. Misha, although she isn't the brightest, doesn't seem like the type to say "Oh well I'm in love with Shizune but here, f*ck me regardless oh and also go ahead and have Shizune without a fight lol and we can even be BFFs afterwards!" I was also disappointed about how it never came up as I expected.
It was okay, but most parts were pretty sucky.
Rin
Not really my cup of tea, honestly. She goes beyond space-y/weird and I honestly thought she may have some sort of mental disorder/be a bit slow, which was really unappealing. It was basically like dealing with a slow, emotionally-detached 7-year old.
The storyline was.. as good as you can be with such a character, but definitely the worst in my eye.
Kenji
Was actually pretty funny. The ending with him also left me a bit curious-- was he being creepy, or was he actually coming onto us? It would explain his feelings toward women, but didn't he have a girlfriend before? Meh.
I loved the scene where he takes his glasses off. Switching from serious to lolnopebacktocrazy was humorous.
While he wasn't a big favorite due to his.. oddness, he provided a lot of comic relief.
They're both fairly similar in that they pretty much focus on Hanako, but if you go Lilly then you get the bonus of having more Lilly too, and not one but like 3 or 4 sex scenes, and the ending is much better done too. There's even an extra scene after the credits for Lilly.
Like I say, Hanako's just kinda ends abruptly the instant it's resolved. So, Lilly's does leave you feeling a little better imo.
Hanako's also made me feel guilty.
For you guys that liked Hanako's route though, you should try Yume Miru Kusuri - there's a route in that which you would probably really like (it's not a burned or disabled girl, just a girl bullied a lot). Much better done too, and much much longer. The relationship doesn't start like 5 seconds before the game ends either.

Hanakos did feel like it ended somewhat abruptly, but, like with some of the other stories it doesnt really detract from the story that much. We can all pretty much see how it continues from there.
hmm
Im thinking its along the lines of Emis, which also ends pretty soon after there real relationship began. The ending of hanakos was very well done in my opinion, showing all that it needed to in order to show that they were really happy to finally be growing closer together. It was sweet, and while it would have been very nice to see them getting closer together the choice to leave it there was ok too.
No that's not true at all.
(Emi spoilers)
Emi and Hisao were together for like 90% of the game. It took till the end to work out Emi's nightmare problem, though it was like major facepalm for me since the very first time it was mentioned "what else she lost in the accident" yadda yadda, practically the first time it was ever mentioned, I knew exactly what happened, but it took him literally having it spelled out to him... in person... at a grave. Freakin' idiot.
But yeah... they were together almost the entire route.
(Hanako spoilers)
Hanako and Hisao didn't get together until the last like 5 minutes, and when they finally actually truly got together (as in more than 1 night having sex, which Hanako did just so Hisao wouldn't go away), the route ended immediately afterwords. As soon as they were REALLY in a relationship... one kiss and BAM! Story ends.
So freakin' lame.
I guess i can kinda see what you mean but in Emi's route
The relationship was really only on a physical level. Emi pushed him away every time he tried to get close, where with hanako you could see they were gradually getting closer through the entire story. They said they were in a relationship, but it was really more of a sexfriends sort of relationship rather than a real one. Once Emi decided to open up to Hisao emotionally there relationship began for real, at least in my opinion.
I guess what im saying is that they were in a "relationship" but not really in a real "relationship". Something like that.
and for hanakos
While its true they really started going out at the very end, they spent a lot of time developing the story beforehand, showing them getting closer as friends. With the major conflict blocking there relationship solved, the story would have no conflict and would be rather boring. Im guessing thats what the writer was thinking anyway, but i agree it would have been nice to have a day or so afterward to see the cute couple together more, or perhaps a short timeskip for the ending.
I cant say im happy about the ending, but I guess it fits the story. Epilogues for all the good endings would have been nice actually.
and i guess this is spoilers for both?
What im really thinking is that physicaly, Emi got closer to Hisao faster, but Emotionally both routes progressed almost the same, where at the start they are distant but, after overcoming their separate problems in there relationships they both start there real relationships.
Anyway, its all strange and really starting to hurt my head thinking about it. A few minutes ago i started thinking about how Rins path would work into this and i think i felt something pop.
