Katawa Shoujo First Impressions + Introduction Thread

  Figuring out how Rin's would turn out is a nightmare thinking about it. At any moment it seems like it would just end.

  This is due to Rin's carefree attitude and how she ticks Hisao off with what she says. Being unable to say the right things and most of the things she says doesn't make any sense or mean much of anything. Not to mention the confusing and conflicting signs she gives throughout the god damn story. *sigh*

  Considering what happened with Sae's husband and how he was so focused on art. Everything else came second. Sort of like Rin. Except towards the end it seemed she wasn't ready to do just art and the entire time just wanted someone to understand her so that she wouldn't be alone. Understanding Rin is impossible though. Seeing into that girl's mind is like trying to see into a top secret organization. At least with Emi, you could tell what was wrong and deal with it. How do you cope with someone like Rin who doesn't even know what to say and can't say the right words?

Rin may be very hard to understand, but I think the ending basicly said that Hisao would keep trying, and that Rin would do as much as she could to help, because even if you dont understand eachother its enough that you enjoy the others company. Or something like that, im not really sure. That route needs another playthrough for sure. Or 3. I somewhat relate with Rin though, never knowing what to say at what time, and being very easily distracted and all. The good ending just doesnt seem like it was something they were going to blow off, they both really wanted to be with eachother. Ok, i think ill start rereading that today. After I take a short nap from my random waking at 3am.[/SPOILER]

  Finished the game a few days ago. Everything was so well done. I love the soundtrack. Its probably one of my favorite games now, but inb4 VN's aren't games.

  [SPOILER="Spoiler"]Overall probably the best route, presentation and story-wise. It goes very smoothly with a more realistic turn of events. The artist screwed up her right hand for her school uniform image though and I couldn't take my eyes off how wrong it was the entire time. She's a little too classy for me to handle though.[/SPOILER]

  [SPOILER="Spoiler"]Do wish the ending did give a slightly more conclusive scene, like Lilly's did, but it felt appropriate enough. Hanako is frustrating too, but not nearly as much so as Rin, so in the end she's just really adorable. Made me feel like **** when Hisao realizes she only let him sleep with her so that he wouldn't ditch her. She's so cute though! HNNNNNG.[/SPOILER]
  
  So I guess that means Lilly and Hanako were my favorites. Leaning more towards Hanako.
  
  Kenji for character of the year, 2012. His route was the best and his CG without glasses was hilarious.

  As much as I hate to admit it. Rin's theme was actually pretty catchy. Anyways I better get going on Lily. Been taking it easy lately as Maplestory tightened it's grip on me getting me more obsessed. But that's another story.
