  completely different from Katawa Shoujo
  but the cat deems it one of the best VNs

  I will give it a try, although I am looking for more love story (geez, between pony and love story I think I am turning into a big ol'girl >.<) Something warm and sublime. I don't want to read any of those shoujou manga bs where gurl and guy act like retards though. Frankly for all the talk of KS not being one of the best VN there is, I wonder if any other VN offers that kind of emotional experience.

  Just grab a list, get your finger, close your eyes, and pick one. I promise you'll be bawling your tears dry by the end of any of them.
  
  This is the problem with Katawa Shoujo VN fanbase. Its the ONLY VN they've ever played and they keep saying its the best VN ever.

  However I can lead you to the a community that has quite a bit of knowledge on VN's, far more so than anyone here on nation.

  I am not use to 4chan's format (only been on once or twice), I guess the main problem is language huh, can't imagine many being translated into english.

  Well thats exactly why I suggested using /jp/.
  
  Most of them don't speak Japanese and they know hundreds of English translated VN's.
  
  They'll usually give you a nicely formatted image like this, though last I checked there were quite a bit more in the English library of VN's.

  I will check them out, although I don't think I will ever regard KS as anything other than special. Just like some people prefer Brian Johnson, but I will always like Bon Scott more as AC/DC's lead singer.
