  Pretty much the omniscient being answer, since God would have been the only thing in existence before ... well anything. It's a representation of himself, through his creation.
  I don't know how much you know about Christian theology, but God's original creation (Adam, Eve, all the animals) was supposed to be perfect.
  
  Adam did not resemble God in the sense of God’s having flesh and blood. However, Adam’s body did mirror the life of God, as it was created in perfect health and was not subject to death.
  But, the whole sin against God occurred and mankind lost that perfection.
  
  In conclusion, mankind was originally made in God's image (not necessarily a physical image) but that "image" was lost due to sin. At least, I think that's the best way to explain it.

  Main reason I refuse to follow religion. You can't prove any of this is real in any way. I am not about to put my faith and trust in someone who possibly does not even exist. Hell, I can hardly put my faith and trust into people whom actually exist. Also, because a lot of the people are just morons who blindly follow what others tell them to believe. Your relationship with "God" should be on a personal level. If "He" is too good to "connect" with you and makes you go through a priest acting as a middleman, then **** him.

  Well, you can't disprove him either.
  You see, "blindly following him" aka faith gives people hope that with everything they're dealing with, both good and bad, there is something better to come.
  There is someone watching you, loving you even when you feel completely alone.
  
  In the Christian religion, the only way to go to hell is not accepting him, having faith and trust in him, and ask for forgiveness for your sins.
  So when people try to share with you (at least the ones not trying to add to a score card), they only want to see you saved from an eternal inferno.

  Well, Christianity isn't religion - in a sense. And yes, a lot of people do follow blindly. I myself don't have the answer to every question out there - but I know enough to make an educated decision on who to believe.

  If you are referring to Jesus in your statement, then I should state that Jesus isn't a middleman. Jesus is also a part of God, so really it's the same person. No middleman needs to be involved in true biblical Christianity.

  God just simply need a way to reveal himself to humanity. No one will believe a booming voice over their head, if anything a normal human would be shocked by it. Jesus was that revelation, the Messiah (savior of humanity), who was prophesied about in the Old Testament.

  Those are cults, my friend. An example of this would be the Westboro Baptist Church where they take the base of one religion and switch it up however they please and then convince "God hates ___" when to people (typically starts as friends and family and builds from there). The god in the Christian religion loves EVERYONE. Gay people aren't an auto sentence to hell, and since all sins are treated equal (stealing a penny and robbing a bank are treated the same in God's eyes) if they accept Christ, like everyone else, they can still be saved.
  
  And you seem to think all (what I'm assuming you're point to) Christians are complete assholes, which it isn't even a majority, but people tend to notice the bad people and overlook the good people.

  Well. That makes two of us. I understand your concern and your fervor. But I believe you have to recognize two things:
  
  1. God needed a way to give everyone his commandments and message. He did that through the Bible, and that should be the sole source of authority. Jesus warned that they are going to be people that profess to be Christians and yet do things contrary to the Bible. Just like you said, no one knows when the world is going to end - only God. God is the sole person who judges people, as Christians we have no right to fully judge others because we all were in the same boat. God does talk to people, but if you don't know who God really even is - how do you know that if it's God speaking to you and not your own desires or thoughts. Perhaps even those of someone else.
  
  2. Just because there are people who give a bad name to Christianity, that doesn't mean all Christians are like that. I'm sure you realize that, but it's an important point.

  My problem with the bible, it was a human creation. It can easily be tampered with. Humans, by nature, are untrustworthy and....well....sinful. I can agree with that much. Not saying every religious view is complete bull****.

Seems as we're being softened more and more by society we're losing more and more of our very basic natural instincts that are gravely important to every other species on the planet.
