don't say don't tell
While this phrase may be orignally applied to gays, I feel that in America, it is increasingly pushed onto the "anti-gay" community. Many people that oppose the gay lifestyle are now too scared in America to say anything against it due to being associated with hate and bigotry.
I do not think it's right to hate a person for being gay, but I do think it's wrong for America to "force" people to accept a gay lifestyle and accept it as the norm. Like some public school systems are doing by purposefully introducing "gay" children's books into the school curriculum ex. King and King, And Tango Makes Three

A show of loss of rights:
Churches barred from 'gay' discrimination
This is basically saying churches cannot deny someone a job because they are gay or even if they are satanist, since current law prohibits the discrimnation on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, genetic information, or age.

There was a poll I read a few days ago that said that 53% (or so) of Americans would not mind supporting a gay President. That's over a HALF of Americans. That just screams out WOW to me. Because it proves that we are not as closed-minded as we once used to be and that is good.
What makes it wrong to be gay?
If someone can answer that question without making any religious references I'll give them a "get out of ban free" card. (and depending on your answer you might need to make use of it rather soon).
The only reason I think ANYONE can say its not right is because they cant reproduce.
If they could, half of the anti-gay people cant say a thing.
They can't reproduce!
Oh, so should we shun sterile or post-menopausal couples from getting married as well?
No, because being gay is unnatural!
Hmm, what about those many instances of animals displaying homosexual behavior in the wild? Recall Roy and Silo, the same-sex Penguin pair, who hatched a baby Penguin chick at NYC's Central Park Zoo?
Those are animals! They don't know any better!
Ah, you are right, since humans are actually capable of reasoning and understanding what love is and how to express it. I mean, aren't most relationships just about that? Love?
It doesn't matter if they love each other! It's two men, two women! It's wrong!
According to who? Who makes these rules?
God!
:what:
Ah, it goes back to that same dead-ended and circular argument.
They can't reproduce!

Gay people, "homosexual behavior", gay marriage... all of it is only seen as wrong through the eyes of religion.
You could be the world's biggest sweetheart and be gay and the Roman Catholic Church will still condemn you to Hell. It's not about you being unable to reproduce with your partner, it's not about you being a good or a bad person. It's just that you are gay and they don't like that.
Don't you love it? :2thumb:
wut....
