  Usually this leads to a lock. If everyone was for gay culture, then it would just be everyone agreeing and no discussion. However, if there's people against it, then it will inevitably lead to a flame war.

  I try not to be anti-gay.
  More of the opinion that sex life and intimacy should be private (goes for straight couples too).

  While this phrase may be orignally applied to gays, I feel that in America, it is increasingly pushed onto the "anti-gay" community. Many people that oppose the gay lifestyle are now too scared in America to say anything against it due to being associated with hate and bigotry.
  
  I do not think it's right to hate a person for being gay, but I do think it's wrong for America to "force" people to accept a gay lifestyle and accept it as the norm. Like some public school systems are doing by purposefully introducing "gay" children's books into the school curriculum ex. King and King, And Tango Makes Three

  This is basically saying churches cannot deny someone a job because they are gay or even if they are satanist, since current law prohibits the discrimnation on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, genetic information, or age.

  How do you feel about Black literature being incorporated into school curriculum, and laws that make it illegal to discriminate based on race? There are people who disagree with those laws, should we strike those laws down because of this, and should we remove all desegregationalist or anti-racist content from school curricula? Should we make it legal to discriminate based on race? There are certainly many people who disagree with those laws and who would be happy to see them fall.

  I feel like America doesn't force anyone to accept anything, at least not immediately. The gay activists have been fighting for many decades already, don't you think they have a right to see some change?
  
  Change =/= forcing people to believe. Change is people becoming more open-minded and less judgmental. And we see that slowly. And the fact that we do see that should be something to celebrate, not be embarrassed of.
  
  There was a poll I read a few days ago that said that 53% (or so) of Americans would not mind supporting a gay President. That's over a HALF of Americans. That just screams out WOW to me. Because it proves that we are not as closed-minded as we once used to be and that is good.
  
  Just like we teach our children what sex is, we need to teach them that there are gay people in the world and that it is okay to be gay. There are just so many kids (and even adults) today that are terrified of coming out either because of the environment they live in or because of the way they were brought up.
  
  It is okay to be gay. Really. We should teach our children that so they do not grow up as strangers to the real world. When you don't grow up close to something, you tend to not understand it. And that unknown tends to create fear or hatred sometimes. That is wrong.
  
  Going back to the sex-ed example. If we teach our children what sex is, why can't we teach them what being gay is? Don't both occur naturally?
  
  Being gay isn't about having crazy, freaky orgies with members of your same sex. It's about love. Isn't love natural? I don't understand why you're against seeing it as the "norm." Like we're some kind of taboo or something? It's sad.
  
  The world needs more people who are willing to accept others and embrace new identities. It is wrong and unfair to treat a gay person as any less than what you are, a human being. So why not give them that same equality that you were rightfully born with?

  Good point there, jsut dropping in to say that a lot of people would lie in those polls. Not too many people wan't to be seen as too anti-gay.

  You could be the world's biggest sweetheart and be gay and the Roman Catholic Church will still condemn you to Hell. It's not about you being unable to reproduce with your partner, it's not about you being a good or a bad person. It's just that you are gay and they don't like that.

  I hate how there are still homophobic people in Massachusetts.
  I was walking home one day and saw an 8 year old and his friend insulting people.
  He was calling people "Faggots" as they walked by.

  I blame it on the media.
  I also hate people that act stereotypical to become famous like Perez Hilton....Okay I have no proof of that but to me he seems like a megalomaniac that would do anything for fame.
  
  Oh I also hate TV shows that make make homosexuals stereotypical like for example Ugly Betty.
  
  Well even though I know 2 kids that are gay(Not friends with them by the way) and they kinda act stereotypical I still don't think it's right to portray homosexuals in the media that way.
