  Its one of the better battle manga's I've read?
  
  Theres only a few characters in the "power level" department, but all the other girls provide a ton of support with their unique abilities gained from their contracts.
  
  The plot is overall decent, the art is excellent, and there are lots of waifus to pick from.
  
  The series REALLY drives a lot of people away because about the first 150-ish chapters is more about the character introductions and school life. Stuff like "Evangeline meets Negi" and "Asuna really likes Takahata" and "There are a lot of bathing scenes with girls". It makes it seem as if the series is about a slice of life with tons of service.

  If anyone cares, the 3rd OVA (out of 4) of the Mahou Sekai Story Arc has just been subbed.
  
  edit: I only just caught up to where the OVA's started but the anime seems much nicer since quality is really clean, fight scenes are nice and there is actually more blood, IMO at least.

  Well I know that the Princess is Negi's mother...
  Where I am at, I think that the people despise the Princess and calls her the Queen of Destruction or something like that.
