These days it's all about the extracurricular activities you have outside school. Grades and SATs are still important but they're a dime a dozen. They are looking for students that will help diversify the student body. You should mention it if you can in your college app, or even essay if it's required. And tell them how you've grown as a person because of your time in dance and how the things you've learned would translate into practical skills.
You're part of a dance crew?!? Do you guys throw down in the street like in the movies?!?

You know it, homie! We threw down in the street the other day, but the police thought we were protesting so they kicked us out :((((((
jk we don't, but we are going to tons of competitions soon >:D

Is it slutty like the ones on tv where instead of dancing you're just humping and grinding on each other while wearing barely any clothes?

Harvard-Westlake, Harvard, HMS. (high test scores, near perfect GPA)
M.D., Ph.D (Genetics/Biological And Biomedical Sciences)
Pfizer, AARL, SENS.
DON'T WORRY GUYS, I'D LOOK GOOD ON YOUR APPS.

Nice, competing on the west coast? Competition is pretty tough out here, all those crews from SoCal are crazy.

Was waiting for a response from TA, after being confused a bit by the title of the thread. haha
Did you actually go to Harvard TA?

It was about location for me, and connections. Most of the others are in upstate NY, or otherwise in New England. There's a lot of decent ones though, I guess...
Here's a list from Forbes. (Harvard-Westlake is
#12 on that list btw)

I did indeed.

ah okay
TAMS is great though
your courses are taught by professors, the school pays you for being involved in science competitions, you can conduct lab research and if you did something awesome, present your stuff at conferences.
these things help stand out
The school has good connections with MIT, Caltech and other sciencey schools
also, the cat had no idea that Tiffany liked California

Yeah, I've always loved California.
Except for the earthquakes... and hurricanes... and wild fires... and mudslides... and ridiculously high rent...
:skip:
Ahh.. no time soon. It's incredibly expensive. Just longevity research for now.
I'd do something with area specific stem cells, but... it's just not the time for that. People would eat you alive if you did something revolutionary with those at the moment, sadly.
edit: Just to steer this back on topic...
Something that will also look good is joining an honor society like Phi Beta Kappa or Phi Kappa Phi.

If you need filler in your college application, National Honors Society is an easy one
just do community service + GPA requirements
however, National Honor Society isn't special if you're applying to selective colleges like Ivy Leagues

:c I didn't get in BAWWW.
(I just remembered...)
Also I would say don't do the TA thing if you're replacing other classes. I think it depends on what courses are being offered, though. If it's something like Basic Underwater Basket Weaving I Minor, you might want to reconsider...
