  My build is so much asshole to deal with for AD toplaners.
  Attackspeed and lifesteal, a bit of extra armor and scaling mr in runes.
  
  Wardens mail into vamp, and then just buy a pink for the bush and freeze it at my turret till level 12 where i can straight out buy a brk or triforce, at the VERY least a sheen/phage.
  Poor zed lost almost 50 farm because all my creeps where under turret, and my auto attacks healed off all his harass.

  Triforce is absolutely useless since the release of Frozen Gauntlet.

  Ehh, i'm still an oldschool s2 irelia player at heart LOL I'll give frozen fist a try, care to list why it's better? i know the cdr armor and sheen proc, but it gives up the attackspeed and movement speed which i like quite a bit.

  Movement speed doesn't matter if your target runs slower, anyways you should be building Zephyr which gives you that movement speed and attack speed or you can go BOTRK which gives you attack speed and an active that gives movement speed. Going Frozen Gauntlet gives armor as well so you don't have to build an Omen.

  Triforce Irelia is fine... Iceborne isnt cost effective for Irelia because ap is the last stat she needs.

  On a more serious note, the proc items are becoming less and less effective, they're not very much needed, and the stats on Tri-Force aren't justifiable by the cost. But by your logic neither is TF because she doesn't need AP, or attack speed because you should be building BOTRK and you don't need to hit 2.5 and the slow can be purchased by getting Frozen Heart/ Omen and they both give much more health leaving you less squishy and much less prone to getting instagibbed by a AP.

  You know you're paying 3250 gold for the item... but Irelia only uses 1722 of the stats on it + passive. She doesnt need the ap (stronger ults yay?) or the mana.
  Why buy it? If you want the slow then buy a Randuin. If you want to stick to your target you buy Ruined king. Trinity Force + attack speed is basically a 100% slow chance anyways.

  I have never seen more numbers pulled out of someone's ass at a given time. Irelia doesn't benefit well off of AD, Trin gives a minuscule amount of health, it builds from Sheen just like a Frozen Fist, and you get 10% Crit which increases your DPS by nothing. Only beneficial stats is the movement speed and attack speed which doesn't matter if your target is always on you because Irelia can't deal with escapes after her first q, as well as the CDR helping your skills all being up which are vital to fighting.

  Um, because the numbers are right? LOL. Irelia's damage is from autoattacks, so you're saying that she doesnt benefit from AD or crit... Every stat from Trinity is useful on Irelia besides the ap and the mana (better than Iceborn since it's not 500 at once which she doesnt need). If you want CDR then build another item. She doesnt even need CDR that badly because she relies on her autoattacks so much and she'll usually assassinate the carries before W even runs out. Why not build Morellonomicon then? 20% CDR, AP, Mana regen, and the passive prevent ADC's from lifestealing back up while you kill them. If you're not even going to consider the amount of money that goes into your build, then that's like a bronze 5 mistake. The item is great on her, but it's not worth the price at all.

  On Irelia, I would buy sunfire/randuins after botrk. I wouldn't consider buying tri force or iceborn gauntlet because I go on enemy adc or mid in team fights and neither of those items will help me survive against the enemy team as much as sunfire/randuin

  You get it as a 2nd/3rd/maybe 4th item depending on how ahead you are and if you need more survivability or more damage.
