  It's still a great item, it was nerfed sure, but its cost was adjusted with it, it's still a really cost effective and powerful item quit acting like you know your ass from a hole in the ground with those bias comments, and the way i play irelia, i usually end up with BRK triforce and then build anything from spirit visage, randuins, witsend, zephyr, or sunfirecape somewhere in there.
  
  Zephyr is a decent item but besides as a 'i'm fed off my ass' sixth item, i personally find everything else under the sun to be better at any time during the game. It doesn't give higher dps than trinity, it doesn't give higher dps than brk, after that point irelia has enough damage to last all game, what she needs after that is to be tanky, and well...zephyr doesn't make you tanky LOL
  It may be very good for irelia, but it's a noob trap, it's useful as like...a replacing your boots item, it gives you very little for actual dps vs the other damage alternatives, and eats into your tankyness if you build it early with them.

  Tl;dr irelia scales better with triforce, quite a bit. If you go frozen fist, you're doing it for the aoe field that may help later in the game when trying to escape or snag a kill, but you'll be less powerful.
  
  For basically the same price, triforce gives more golds worth of stats, and crit strike, attackspeed, movement speed and attack damage are more appealing to me than 70 armor and 10% cdr, i build irelia really tanky anyways, i need as much damage as i can get from my two damage items.
  
  When i build a spirit visage, i don't even notice the 20% cooldown on ANYTHING but my ult anyways, 10% feels negligible.

  Also I finally manned up and played my promos, and some more games after that, and now I'm in promo for Gold IV. I think I can get to plat by the end of the summer. I'm still stomping people when I get mid. Lux couldn't carry well in low silver but I've noticed it's gotten easier.

  People keep telling me to buy mejai's, but every time I buy mejai's I end up dying a lot more than I usually do. It's weird.

  Being the nightmarishly bad top laner I am, I usually don't get kills, although my playstyle makes me passive enough not to die much, if at all. Top lane becomes an island, and as long as you farm as Irelia, you get hella OP late game.

  She can be shut down, but passive is a strong way to play her, at least until level 9, then you start out trading most toplaners, if irelia gets shutdown before 9 it can be hard for her to come back.

  You should carry with trist, this game i literally didn't need to kite, i just sat in one place and autoattacked and stuff worked out lol

  If you're against someone like Caitlyn or Ezreal who have easy farming tools, and they decide to push up the lane, you will miss CS under the turret, and that's guaranteed. It's not uncommon for a Trist to come out of laning phase 30 CS down. That's an unnecessary handicap, especially in solo queue, where you have no idea whether your team will make it through mid-game.

  I could see that, I've personally never been pushed that hard, i just get my E and take 3-4 points in it, then just outpush people, but different strokes for different folks i guess.
  
  I usually come out of any game with 50+ cs more than anyone else on both teams xD even as trist.

  I wish I didn't have to support all the time though. Duoing with a friend of mine who just got promoted a couple games ago. We have like the same MMR, and he skipped IV as well. Since he went straight to Gold I, I should too.

  It's weird, i used to suck with kennen hardcore, lost every game, now he's become my second strongest champion, just under my irelia for mechanics, shen being a close third, but i still have trouble csing with him, because i run hybrid pen reds so i miss judge his auto attacks, i also don't build damage so lategame his AA's require very precise timing.

  Did he go from G5->G1 or G5->G3->G1? And how are you figuring out that your MMR~Friend's MMR? Going G5->G3->G1 is pretty hard anyways. Unless you have a 1.5:1 win/loss ratio I think skipping 5-3-1 would be a surprise.
