  You do realize that they recently buffed Corki's Q, and the old Q changes were a big part of the reason that he was so stupid to play?
  
  Not to mention LCS is completely different from solo queue and on many occasions doesn't comment on the actual strength of the champion, and more on their viability in the current state of lane rotations/2v1s and changing focuses.

  You realize that 95% of the community has been calling Corki shit since they changed his Q? Anyone who can do basic math can see how strong Corki still is. People think a champion isnt viable because of a skillshot that isnt even THAT hard to land. It's like saying 90% of mid laners are useless because you can dodge their skillshots.

  That's basically his perfect build, dyrus and every other ryze player i've seen runs basically that, the boot enchantment is your own call.
  
  
  If you want really good runes/masteries to use on him i'd suggest using these.

  I like that build but I prefer to go for Steamroll damage end-game.

  The problem with that is, to stack up 2 roa's an archangels and a muramana, that will take at least 40 minutes, and till then you're an extremely squishy close ranged caster.

  That has nothing to do with what I said. I was just stating that lately, professional players' opinions do not always (and in a lot of cases now, rarely do) match up with how casual players play their champs.
  
  It wasn't just the difficulty of landing Corki Q, it was the damage scaling on it as well.
  
  When the original Corki Q got changed, it was a huge nerf to his playstyle. People had to figure out how to play him again while also dealing with the much weaker spell. They had to buff it pretty significantly to get it back to being viable again.

  I honestly think his Q is overpowered right now. 280 base damage skill with ap and ad scalings. The scaling change buffed his mid/lategame damage but it had almost no effect on his lane damage. With or without the Q ratio buff he was always hit level 6 and faceroll your skills and burst your opponent before they can do anything. His post nerf Q was perfectly fine, you're sheeping like the rest of the community and saying it's bad when it wasnt.

  So, my jax and irelia are extremely consistent apparently, here's my last game of each of them.....they're god damn near identical , i really didn't think my consistency of play was this close between them.

  21/9 irelia is infinitely stronger than 9/21 irelia, the masteries in this page are what the best irelia in north america uses, and for good reason.

  he takes 5 cdr in blues/quints and runs a mix of attackspeed/ad on her, for really hard matchups he uses hp regen quints, for matchups against an ap champ he takes flat ad and movement speed quints.
  
  If you don't wish to dedicate any specific pages to her ad reds/quints armor yellows mr blues are fine, but they're not quite as amazing as a special page for her.
  
  Flask+potions is her best start right now, it's hp and mana for a good chunk of the lane phase, dorans blade works if you're against someone like nasus who needs to be bullied earlygame
  
  Her level 1 you really only have two choices, are you against a ranged poker that makes your life hell? take Q and farm till 4, are you against a melee? Take E and wait till they poke you, use your E, get the stun and start trading back damage, earlygame you're the counter aggressor unless they're making huge mistakes and let you AA punish them for csing.
  
  If they're a strong laner like renekton, i tend to play passive early, if they go to Q or W me i kite backwards, if they tag me i E them instantly and auto them a few times, if they show they want to commit to more i turn on W with my autos.
  
  At level 4 irelia's hiten style at 2 the rest with 1 point, she's generally strong enough to trade with anyone right now.
  You can start testing the waters to see how the enemy deals with you, auto them when they take cs, if they do nothing, use your W auto E combo and keep autoing them, if they run away, chase them and auto them, when they finally get out of range, Q to them and auto them 1-2 more times, that's her best extended trade combo pre 6.
  
  If you W auto E them and they start trading back, kite them towards your turret, at the very least you're getting into a safer position for if they win the trade.
  
  You'll want 2 dorans blades and either tabi/merc treds as your first real backs, 2 dorans blades gives irelia unparallelled damage and sustain vs just about any toplaner, it brings her W's sustain back to what it was prenerf.
  
  Pretty much without fail if you've done your job as irelia and kept up in cs, once you hit this point your combo should do 60% of their hp, W auto E auto Auto auto Q auto auto (e if its off cd at this time)
  
  After those two items you want your triforce asap, if you have 1200 gold go back and get your sheen ASAP it's the strongest trinity part on her it extends her damage combo something horrifying,
  If you don't have 1200 gold, buy a ruby crystal and a longsword, phage components are infinitely more useful on her than anything from sheen.
  
  Her sheen/trinity combo looks like this
  
  W auto E auto ult auto ult auto ult auto ult auto Q auto auto E auto auto
  
  You try to time your blades to proc trinity/sheen as much as you can between your skill rotations, it lasts quite a long time so don't be rushed and spam it, you lose out on 4 sheen procs that way.
  
  After you get triforce boots and your 2 dorans, hopefully before 20 minutes, look to go major aggressive, call your jungler, take the turret if you haven't already and roam, go mid, make sure mid wins, take mid turret, counter jungle the enemys buffs, ward deep, when you see the toplane being pushed back rotate back, power clear then go back to roaming.
  
  As far as skills, W is always maxed first, E is maxed if you really need to lock someone slippery down, Q is maxed if you need to repeatedly gapclose or frontload your damage for Qing to low hp creeps to get 2 gapclosers out of it instead of 1.
  
  Your entire job as irelia is to anticarry their most fed carry, adc or apc, doesn't matter just jump on them in teamfights and hunt them down, force their entire team to peel you or you will kill their carry 1v5. (exactly why irelia or jax will shit on all AD teamcomps, randiuns frozen heart and a thornmail make her completely unkillable to the enemy team)
  
  
  After your triforce 2 blades and boots nothing in this game, assuming botlane isn't 20/0 can stand up to irelia's damage, you want to go pure tank at this point, don't fall for triforce brk noob trap, irelia is too squishy to do her job, you want frozen heart, maybe randiuns, a banshee veil, maybe GA and then as your last item pick up btrk to keep your scaling into lategame in check.
  
  The reason i shy away from botrk triforce is that irelia with double dorans and triforce has relevent damage well into 35-40 minutes of the game, building tanky lets her stay in longer, getting off more skill rotations and being able to initiate.
  
  
  That's about the basics, stuff like prepairng caster creeps to Q to, how to farm, specific matchups as irelia, that can be saved if you have any more questions later, her and jax are my mains, and i main toplane, i know just about every nitty gritty detail and when i can get kills/the strongest/weakest parts of irelia's lane against anyone, feel free to post here or send me a pm, or post on my page if you need any more irelia info.

  Who are you referring to as the best Irelia in NA? I went and checked Irelia Carries U (the D1/Challenger Irelia main I know of) because those masteries didn't seem right, and he uses Expose Weakness/Spell Weaving/Blade Weaving instead of that 1 point in Fury/Feast/Frenzy, which makes more sense to me.
