  Depends on your lane. My main isn't vladimir, but I played this game enough to know the champion well enough.
  
  Not really for runes/masteries. It's really your standard AP runes and 21/9/0 AP masteries.

  Mpen marks, armor seals, MR glyphs, Flat AP Quints. You could replace one AP quint with movement speed because of how vulnerable vladimir is without his pool.

  Standard 21/9/0 AP mastery. You could take off 2 points off of devastating strike and put those points into butcher and feast for lane survivability, but vladimir shoudln't really need those points to survive in lane.
  
  As for items, you'll start off with doran's shield most likely. You could go amp tome and one pot if you're confident in your lane.
  Generally, you'll be facing ad top laners. If the laners are those with gap closer that you should be careful of (Irelia, Jarvan, etc), you should rush Seeker's arm guard, then try to get hextech revolver, and then finish your hourglass afterwards. If it's an ad laner with no real gap closer, you can go haunting guise, then hextech revolver, then finish Liandry's torment. Some people foolishly try to rush will of the ancients on vladimir. While it's a good item on him, it's not something that you have to rush. Hextech revolver is good enough for what it provides for him for the most phases of the game.
  
  If you're against an AP top laner (Maokai, Malphite, Lissandra), you could rush Abyssal scepter. As for shoes, there's really only two choices: Mpen shoes or merc treads.
  
  List of items good on vladimir:
  
  Rabadon's deathcap: If you're snowballing hard, this is the item to get. Most of the times, your team would require you to get other items most likely though, but good item nonetheless.
  
  Zhonya's hourglass: Armor against your laner, good active that also synergizes with your ultimate. I get this item almost every time I play this guy.
  
  Rylai's crystal scepter: The passive is meh on this guy, but its stats is what's so good about this item. I don't always get this item, but I get it more times than I don't.
  
  Liandry's torment: Good synergy with the passive, magic pen. Not really a must-get, but good item still.
  
  Will of the Ancients: Works on all of your skills. No explanation necessary.
  
  Spirit visage: Great item on this guy, although not necessary. Usually as a player, I prefer banshee's over visage simply due to the spellshield. Vladimir doesn't really need this item to keep sustaining.
  
  Troll/lulzy items:
  
  Deathfire grasp: This is probably the trolliest of items that are remotely viable to vladimir.
  
  Mejai's soulstealer: Self-explnatory.
  
  Hextech gunblade: If you're 7/0 by 10 minutes, I guess it doesn't matter what you build.

  Those are actually pretty bad runes for him.
  
  First of all, he scales with hp way too well not to take scaling hp yellows, and second, hpen is a better rune than flat pen for ANYONE who auto attacks while using spells.
  Third, unless you're taking him against someone who does a lot of ap burst that you're not confident you can avoid harassment from, vlad scales so hard with cdr it's silly not to run scaling cdr on him. Most of the time unless they're running 2 ap comp, i can sit on a negatron/cowl for most of the game and be good with mr.
  
  
  As far as items, i love sorc boots/guise early. but i have yet to ever buy a liandries, it's an extremely shitty item.
  
  I start dorans shield against a lot of matchups that i think may give me trouble, but against someone like maokai, nasus, anyone who just cannot get to me to fight back, i start ruby and basically rush a guise/revolver. After i have my boots/ wota/seekers and am sitting on a cowl or negatron so magic isn't true damage to me, maybe guise if the matchup calls for it. I look at how kitable their team is, if it's all melee with no escapes? you can rush straight damage and murder them, is it cunts like riven who cannot sit still for more than 3 seconds? get that rylias baby.
  
  Its passive is extremely good on him, completely contrary to the person that posted before me with little knowledge of vlad at their disposal. He has 0 chase power, the slow from rylias alone lets vlad kite just about anyone, fed trynd? too bad he can't get in range to aa me even with his e. Riven being a bitch and running non stop? It would be a shame if you could kneecap her ms. Enemy team entirely too mobile and can't be pinned down? You get the point.
  
  In general though, providing you need the guise and you aren't scared of the enemy laner, otherwise switch seekers place for guise.
  
  ruby-> revolver->guise-> (wota/seekers) -> [negatron/cowl] {Rylias/ hourglass}-> \dcap/voidstaff/
  
  
  (depends on if you value the cdr or the armor, finish the next one after that.)
  [if you need the extra bonus from cowl, or just need the mr]
  {do you need the kiting, or the extra power? Finish hourglass regardless of your build rylias can be dropped for an earlier voidstaff or dcap if you don't need much chase}
  \both are great, voidstaff is if they have heavy mr, or you really don't have the money for rod, finish the other one right after\
  
  
  
  
  
  As vlad, if you aren't really bad at the harass game, the lane will go one of two ways most of the time, they will let you poke them and fear your q and you apply so much pressure they cannot breath and are scared to farm, or assholes like riven call your level 1-2 bluff, all in you and make you their bitch.
  
  In general vlad is a very weak level 1 champ, you take q and auto attack and Q them as often as possible, if they poke back or try all inning, play safe till you have some levels, if they don't, enjoy your free win.

  As for masteries, i've been fucking around with them, i don't notice a difference between this 21/6/3 or the standard 21/9/0 page what so ever.
  
  Vlad doesn't need feast or butcher, dangerous game is also too good to pass up since if you're ahead on vlad you should be turret diving the enemy quite often, that hp boost saves you fairly often.
  double edged sword is dick, you take 1.5% more damage to deal 1.5%, when you could take exposed weakness and deal 1% more while taking 0% increased damage.

  Karma has a slow and snare, burst damage on her Q, and mobility on her E.
  Lulu has mobility on her W, and CC/utility in spades, although Riot probably nerfed her to the point where mid Lulu is hardly viable.
  Azir isn't really skill-shotty, but requires a more strategic approach since positioning of his soldiers affects nearly everything about him.
  
  You can't ask for all four traits because then that champion would be OP.

  Easy to find champions that focus on one of those three, but harder to find champions with all three. These are what I'd use (and I use these champs a lot for mid):
  
  Azir: Great laning phase, pretty good CC, lower on the burst part. Hard champion to control.
  
  Lissandra: Great CC, Great mobility, decent burst. She's good at everything, but not the best. There will be a champion who can outburst her, outroam her, out CC her, but there's really no one that can do all three better at the same time.
  
  Hecarim: Keane likes to do this, especially against melee assassin mids. Hecarim is interesting in a way that he can use his abilities to essentially make the assasins' life harder in the lane, and you can build tons of damage on him while still being decently tanky front line. Most of the time you'll start with cloth + 5 or flask + 3.
  
  Jarvan IV: Great early damage, pretty good against melee assassins, and cc is pretty self explanatory. I usually play J4 in the jungle or top, but I will play him in mid sometimes based on the team's needs.
  
  Karma: I don't really like Karma as a champion, but since you wanted all three combined, Karma technically falls in this category. Even though she can become pretty mobile thanks to her kit, she doesn't have an innate escape, which is something that you should be wary of. Plus she's skillshot oriented. I don't really recommend her.
  
  Pantheon: Situational pick. Even though I think he's a good mid laner, I'd not recommend playing him in mid lane simply because of how strong he is in jungle right now.
  
  Riven: Got the burst, mobility, CC, snowballing power and late game power, what more do you want? The problem with Riven is that she's vulnerable to long range pokes, but that can be mediated if you can get an early kill by being aggressive at level 1-2.
  
  Syndra: Lacks a bit of mobility, but still can roam. You have the strongest level 6 in the game. A long with probably the longest range stun in the game besides Ashe arrow. And you're still relevant late game.
  
  Twisted Fate: Good burst, good damage, decent CC, INSANE map pressure, at least if you play him right. Similar to Lissandra in a sense that he offers everything, but not at the best level.
  
  Wukong: Odd pick, but not unseen before.
  
  Yasuo: Not really in the best place in the meta atm, but he still does provide everything.
  
  I considered adding these champions but decided not to...
  
  Ahri: Good damage, burst. The problem is that your only means of CC is the charm, which you have to land in the first place, and your mobility comes mainly from your ultimate. Otherwise, not really a mobile champion. You could get Rylai's to apply CC on your spells, but there are so many more items that bring her what she needs.
  
  Quinn: This might sound odd to you, but I considered her putting in this list. As a player, Quinn is my most played champ, and I'll tell you that she is a shit tier in bot lane, but actually not in a bad place at all in solo lanes. Quinn's main power comes from the pre-6 harass and burst she can do and the roaming potential. Late game, she works more as a clean up crew, or an assassin that picks anyone out of the place and 100-0 them, but she's very risky in team fights. She has fairly good mobility, and good CC if you consider her blind a CC. However, she suffers from lack of hard CC. I usually build randuin's on her to make up for it.
  
  Malphite: Good CC, good damage, mobility, and burst, but only after 6. You have to survive the laning phase, which is sometimes hard to do since Malphite is vulnerable to long ranged pokes.
  
  Talon: Ok champion, not really good in the meta. His removal of silence really hurt him. The new slow that applies on his e doesn't really help either, since his w does the same thing. This lane is very dependent on how much you can snowball out of it, which is kind of a gamble.
  
  Kennen: This guy really does have everything. However, I don't think this guy should be a mid laner. His biggest power comes from his ability to harass his laner, which he does much better at top than at mid. However, if you do see a mid lane match up in favor of Kennen, go ahead and pick him. Kennen is also a team fight champion, and pretty much fits any team comp.

  She can actually full clear+1 on her first trip, i was pretty surprised.
  
  I'm proud of myself. I finally stopped being a lazy bastard and made a cheatsheet for jungling so i can be an extremely lazy bastard. The first 8 minutes are completely covered when i jungle from now on.
  
  The answer for 90% of junglers who cannot full clear on their first trip seems to be attackspeed out the ass and starting golems, it's literally the difference between dying on a second camp, and full clear+ second golems.

  Fiora is actually a pretty unique jungler. Currently she's one of the junglers that can solo a dragon at level 3.

  Coming from more AD mid type champions like Zed and Riven recently, what can I expect to struggle with as her.
  
  Generally as Mid I like to play aggressively and take out the outer turret before really roaming around too much. Any tactics on how to do this w/Syndra?
