New weapon, skills, items, and tweaks you'd like to see!~

Proposed Changes:

-No longer requires an enchant of the previous rank after rank A, but overwriting an enchant will boost success rate by 3% per rank of the overwritten enchant. Rank F enchants give a +3% bonus, rank 6 enchants give a +30% bonus.

---This allows players to get enchants on more quickly and means that high rank scrolls that drop unexpectedly don't end up wasting away. It also vastly decreases the amount of work for getting a high ranking enchant; a change made possible by the shift in power boosting from enchants to reforges. In addition, it rewards players who still put work into finding other enchants.

-The Intelligence contribution cap is changed to 800, with 400 INT being identical to the current 200 INT mark.

---This allows for more meaningful progression for players interested in the skill, giving incentive to boost INT but without being so high that it's out of reach. In addition, it gives a boost to enchanting success rates at higher ranks where the 90% cap isn't auto-reached, improving accessibility.

-The cap for enchant success remains 90%, but now decreases by 5% for each rank the enchant is above the rank of the enchanter for enchants rank 9 and up.

---This should give more of a reason to actually get the skill ranked up, as well prevent the application of enchants from being monopolized by low-rank, high intelligence players. It serves to offset the generally higher success rates as players have to put in work (or enchanting pots) to take advantage.

Minor Enchant Protection Potions can now be made by Potion Making using a rare ingredient obtained in the cash shop, from a new enchanting PTJ (details later), or as a reward for some dungeon/SM. They reduce durability loss on failure by 3-10 depending on the rank of the Potion Maker but do not protect against item destruction.

Fine Enchant Protection Potions can now be made in the same fashion. They negate durability loss from rank 7 and lower enchants and turn item destruction into durability loss for rank 6 and above. The durability loss ranges from 10-3, depending on the rank of the Potion Maker

Perfect Enchant Protection Potions replace the current version in the cash shop and perform just the same. Basically, just a name change. They have a rare (1% or less) chance to be offered as a reward from the enchanting PTJ after the player has completed at least 100 jobs in good standing.

---These changes allow lower price points for players that aren't willing to spend as much but still want some lesser protection. This makes it more likely that they will pay for lower rank enchanting than the previously steep entry price.

---The changes also make Potion Making more valuable as it has suffered with the advent of events that give out far more effective potions in droves.

Add an enchanting PTJ for Lassar, the Tir Chonaill magic school instructor. She will give scrolls with rank and number based on job level [three A rank for basic, six 8 rank for int, nine 6 rank for adv] and 9 Magic Powders then instruct the player to enchant [one, two, three] objects. These objects will be the only things the enchants work on. The player will receive rewards based on how many enchants are on the objects when they turn them in. There is a chance (50%) for one reward to be a bundle of 3 enchants of rank determined by the job level. These enchants will come from a certain pool. For players who have done at least 50 jobs, there is a chance (20%) to obtain a coupon for three free points of magic weapon repair in Tara. For players who have done at least 100 jobs, there is a chance (10%) to obtain the rare ingredient needed for a Minor Enchant Protection Potion and a chance (5%) to obtain the rare ingredient needed for a Fine Enchant Protection Potion The PTJ will be available to 6 people per job level per in-game day.

---This adds a method of ranking enchant that allows the player to actually play the game instead of grinding a super low lvl dungeon. It also gives the Potion Making ingredients for the new Enchant Protection Potions and a reason to be in Tir Chonaill past level 4. It won't be faster than putting in effort to grind out Enchant training during the hours when this job isn't available, but it will be more interesting and a good pace maker for the less ambitious.

Add new enchants related to Production, Durability, Repair Costs and Cosmetics. Some of these enchants may last for a limited amount of time, ensuring a healthy demand for Enchanters remains constant. This is more practical with the addition of Minor Enchant Protection Potions which can be made with the cash shop but do not require it.

---By vastly increasing the incentive to enchant things often and repeatedly, the amount of money made from people enchanting should increase. In addition, this will help to increase the enchant density in the game for those trying to step up to higher enchants to take advantage of the boosted success rate (as described earlier).

---Top notch gear will have relatively static enchants as those will be harder to place, but the Fashionogi, Production and non-high tier crowds will eat this up.

Change the master title for Enchanting to increase burn success rate by 10% and to allow successful enchants to only use 50% scroll durability instead of destroying it.

---Mastering a skill should give a proportional reward. This should allow players to make an identity as an Enchanter beyond simply having rank 1.

    At least make it Dunbarton. . . For 93%, I'd rather go out and buy a new weapon than spend effort working on a new item ten risk it losing durability.
    Quote from Juno;1261027:

    • Durability: lower dura loss in general or from specific instances, increase dura loss with nice positive effects, enchant removes itself instead of a point of dura loss occurring, etc.

    Durability-scapegoat enchants sound like a really great idea, especially if there are both Prefix and Suffix varieties and they are relatively low ranked. Though they'd probably be more of a gachapon side reward (like shadow crystals) if they were to be implemented.
  • Juno wrote on 2015-01-14 03:58
    It's a free repair for a really expensive sub-type, so I figured it shouldn't be for the best rate available. It's not intended to give top-tier players a free pass on their multiple repair rate increasing enchant weapons so much as to take the heat off for mid-level players.

    Then again, maybe 93% is too low...perhaps it should be a flat discount coupon that would make 93% free and higher rates less painful.

    Hello. I really enjoyed the Seal Merchant shop we have here where we collect seals to get some goodies.

    But I felt like it's quite outdated and needed to be renewed to keep players accompanied with more contents.

    Here is our current shop and the list.

    It looks like you moved a lot of cash shop only items into the seals shop? Would that really be ok? In addition, there are a number of limited release items added in and event exclusives. While I totally support adding rare items to the seals shop, I don't think that existing rare items would pass muster. It can't be a one stop shop for everything, even if seals take a while to get.

    Then again, if seals can't be transferred via bank then the numbers might check out.

    Then again, if seals can't be transferred via bank then the numbers might check out.

    Yes, it give players more incentive to collect the seals, or if you want to do it the lazy way, buy stuffs via NX. :P

    Nexon did that with their marionette mini recently, lmao.

    Lightning Bolt:
    -At Rank 9, a single bolt charge hits 2 enemies. This increases to 3 at rank 1.
    -Conductivity with other players removed.
    -Damage decrease when chaining enemies removed.

    Healing:
    -MP cost 40 -> 20.
    -Load time 2 sec -> 1.
    -Now remedies 10% wounds from healing.

    Party Healing:
    -MP cost 80 -> 60.
    -Load time 2 sec -> 1.5
    -Now remedies 5% wounds from healing.

    Meditation:
    -Uncapped to 1.
    -Stamina recovery 0% -> 25%.

    Mana Shield:
    -Uncapped to 1.

    Spellwalk:
    -SP cost 10 -> 2
    -Now compatible with Magic Shields, Hail Storm, Blaze, Fusion Bolt, Meteor Strike, and Lightning Rod.

    Snap Cast:
    -Now compatible with Hail Storm, Blaze, Fusion Bolt, Meteor Strike, and Lightning Rod.

    Shockwave:
    -MP cost 10% -> 50 and is now affected by Int (50 Int = 1 % MP Cost Reduction).
    -No longer gets weaker the farther enemies are.

    Meteor Strike:
    -MP cost and Load Time is now affected by Int (50 Int = 1 % MP Cost/Load Time Reduction).
    -Cooldown 15 min -> 10.
    -Lava duration 10 sec -> 15.
    -Lava damage is no longer affected by Natural Shield.
    -No longer gets weaker the farther enemies are.

    Lightning Rod:
    -Load time 2 sec -> 3.5.
    -MP cost and Load Time is now affected by Int (50 Int = 1 % MP Cost/Load Time Reduction).
    -Now chains into all nearby enemies, much like Lightning Bolt and Thunder.

    Mana Recovery:
    -Removed. It's unnecessary and makes Meditation and Mana Potions irrelevant.

    since we're never going to actually curb back player power fuuuuuuuuuuuck it

    Magic Damage Tweak:

    Magic multipliers now compound multiplicatively.

    i'll leave you to figure out why this breaks the game in half

    I don't see the point in the two bolded changes. It's not like lightning bolt is underpowered.

    Meditation doesn't need to be uncapped if we have Mana Recovery. Maybe if Mana Recovery was like rA capped. But even in that scenerio, r1 is way too high to uncap it right now.

    And I don't see the point of uncapping Mana Shield. Nothing will ever fix Mana Shield other than de-nerfing it (allowing defensive stats to be used in Mana Shield).

    Snap Cast already works on Hailstorm last I checked. And how would Snap Casting Fusion Bolt even work?

    And for the rest of your changes, it seems you have very little of an idea on balancing.

    It's primary feature is area of effect, right? It's useless; three people aren't going to stand around and charge Lightning Bolt for each other.

    Donno, but why shouldn't it work?

    Not seeing what you're getting at. I'm not a pure mage but everyone says Adv magic, especially Meteor Strike and Lightning Rod, is very underwhelming.
