That depends on which version you're referring to, and which part.
I don't know what you particularly mean by "version", since the only version I can think of are Translations.

What I meant was, The Bible being the entirety of the Old and New Testament.
The Tanakh and the canon New Testament writings, excluding the Apocrypha - because it isn't canon.
Why would God, an unquestionably perfect being, create such imperfect creatures?
Actually, God did create humans to be perfect. But God also gave us free will; humans ended up choosing to perform contrary to God.
Which is why murder, lies, theft, etc. - occur.
