They're so... delightfully pungent. <3

Sadly, some of the images are now broken. I didn't get to save them. ='<
But if one's enough of a fangirl/boy, I'm sure they can guess who the puns are referring to.
I have a newbish question... But...
Do anyone have a link to when next time it'll be aired? Not just new one but older episodes as well... I wanted to watch this next week after I get out of school... Orz
While the Lionturtle and Aang use the same technique, Amon seems to be using another method.
When Aang takes away Ozai’s bending, and when the Lionturtle teaches Aang energybending, they both thouch TWO points on the body, the yin tang and the ru zhong point aka the Ajna chakra and the Anahata chakra.
When Amon ‘takes away’ LBZ’s bending, he only touches ONE point, the yin tang.
Now what could that mean?
I think Amon is faking it. That he is making people believe that he is taking away their bending, when what he is actually doing is blocking a chakra.
Here is why:
Amon touches the yin tang point aka the Ajna chakra:
Yintang Acupuncture Point
Location: Midway between the medial ends of the eyebrows Actions& Effects:
- Calms the spirit
- insomnia, anxiety, stress
- Front headache
- Sinus Issues-congestion sinusitis
When Uncle is teaching Zuko about lightning, he talks about bending needing a certain amount of inner calm. So, if you were to close that chakra and lock all the anxiety inside someone, making them incapable of being calm, that would effectively take someone’s bending away.
Quite clever actually, since the more terrified they are/become the more permanent this block will be. And Amon is sure laying it on thick.
Note: This also means one should be able to undo it. Which is good, considering some of the promos we’ve seen.
Ru zhong, Ajna chakra, Anahata chakra.
the bigger reason is
having corporations with the money to build advanced technology
seriously, the only effective bending against the mechas is firebending since they're being cooked in them
look at Korra

I still think you're giving the Equalists too little credit. You're honestly telling me you believe that the guy in charge of crafting this technology, whose driving motivation is that he hates fire benders above all other benders, would make a mech that has no countermeasures to intense heat, yet he took the time to study the type of metal that the world's most prolific earth bending master and founding metal bender could not bend?
Need I remind you that Amon, his superior, would also have a stronger grudge against fire benders than any other bender?
Also, Korra didn't really deal much damage to the mech she was fighting. She was able to repel it, yes, but so was Tenzen. Her fire bending did not cause the metal to overheat at any time. You would likely need an army of fire benders to generate the kind of heat you're talking about. The mech sustained no real damage; Asami's father was only being rattled by the concussive impact of their attacks. The person who did the most damage to the mechs was Lin Bei Fong, who only managed to shatter the glass of the cockpit, but did no real damage to the mech itself.
