Memoires of Issyt, First of the Keepers
First Day Celebration, Year 476, Adamantine Era
The festivities of the day were quite a spectacle to behold. There were men who would juggle swords, throwing them as high as – by my best judgement – 30 feet into the air, and Halflings who could breathe fire as surely as any Dragonborn Paladin. But none of these spectacles would be mentioned if not for that day’s actual events. Rather, that night’s events. I had taken bed in one of the numerous local inns in the small town of Keaghan’s Point, but before I could sleep for more than an hour, an ungodly wailing began. I recognized it to be a magical siren (and rather poorly done, but what can you expect from this town of soldiers). Myself and Elnathan, a recently reunited friend of mine, rushed outside only to have two green fellows who seemed rather cross about something. Or insane, come to think of it I think they were just insane. Either way, they’re dead now. This amazing display of might and magic brought an elderly woman running towards us, turns out the little brutes did the same thing to her husband but he didn’t meddle with dark and mysterious forces better left alone like I myself did. It’s lucky we turned up when we did, because these goblins were certainly beefier than the others , but we still bested them easily. Although Elnathan did need to…well I’d rather not talk about what he did to heal himself, but I’m fairly certain that’s what allowed me to break the will of his last attacker. They thanked us for our help and we offered to escort them safely to Town Hall. I cannot say why this detail stuck with me, but I swear off in the distance I heard someone shout the number 34…
