Desktop build

  Don't really know what parts to get to build a desktop. I was going to get a laptop but people on skype were just all telling me to get a desktop.
  
  I'm willing to spend $1,000 on the parts and it has to be with paypal bill me later which I know newegg has right now. I'll probably wait for November for sales but I want to know ahead of time the parts so I will just bookmark them.
  
  
  Also if so could you post a building desktop video if there is one.

  Motherboard: Any intel motherboard with LGA 1155 socket would do. I recommend Asus Sabertooth Z77, but it's a little expensive.
  
  Processors: intel i5-2500k Sandy Bridge or intel i7-2600k Sandy Bridge (I don't really see the point.)
  
  GPU (Video Card): Nvidia GTX 560. Ever since 600 series came out, 500 series became a lot cheaper. I can't really recommend one for you though, I never went through one. I used GTX 460 for 3 years and recently switched to GTX 670.
  
  PSU (Power Supply): CORSAIR TX750. I have this one, it lasted me 3 years so far.
  
  RAM: 6GB~8GB.
  
  Case: COOLER MASTER Storm Scout. Looks bad ass + it's Cooler Master.

  ^ difference between i5- and i7 is hyperthreading. You could argue you don't need it, but if you're going to shell out for a grand pc anyways might as well (and it makes multithreaded stuff easier to process).
  
  Ram, anywhere after 8gb is unnecessary if you don't do any video editing.
  
  Case is also debatable, nobody needs a full tower but it is nice (already they're all heavy as ffffffff)
  
  Sabertooth is a really nice board, but if you don't need all the extra features I'd go for an ASrock extreme board. They lack WLAN in the cheaper ones, but I use a gigabit powerline switch anyways :)
  
  +1 on the 560, I was thinking of getting one myself (I have a 460 now but I might end up with the 670)

  Hyper Threading can cause performance issues with quite a few games (why I disabled it :P) (and yes, I did notice a performance increase after disabling).
  So if you do a lot of gaming, probably better off getting an i5 and putting the rest towards, say, a better graphics card or something.

  As for the case, just go for whatever you like the look of the most. I suggest at least Mid Tower, and CoolerMaster seems to have some nice cases (I'm actually switching to a CoolerMaster Gladiator 600 sometime). Total cost doesn't include keyboard/mouse/monitor/windows.

  I read that Mabi runs better with Nvidia. I remember Mabinogi having Nvidia logo on the opening screen during KR beta. That's the only reason why I recommended Nvidia.

  Sandy Bridge overclocks better. Think they're close in performance after putting that into consideration. I'm actually not sure which would be better at that point.

  So this build will play games like GW2 and future games nicely right? If so I'll bookmark them. Also it's good you didn't go all the way to 1,000 because I will have to buy a monitor.
