Mabination was mentioned once in those Erinn Weekly's they stopped doing a long time ago because writing a page of news for Mabi or even patch notes is too time-consuming, but god help whoever ATTEMPTS to pick up the slack.

I remember that, I checked the google analytics stats at the end of that month and there was something like 20 people who clicked that link.
Nearly a year ago Sabina also joined nation and sent me a PM about how nexon could work with us to improve the communication from nexon to the community, Sabina's last login was something like 5 minutes after her join time.
So I don't think they ever really gave much of a fuck about any community based fansites, they care more about the wiki since there's structured information that pretty much every player references there, and a lot of evil unreleased content spoilers that will ruin their business plans for the next decade.

Wow...she didn't really apply herself that much then >.>
Only time Nexon bothers other sites is when they want them to do something they feel is wrong, not to do anything that's good. That's how little Nexon cares.
Also only 20 clicks? Nothing of value was lost then.

It's probably why they stopped making those digital magazine things... if no one looks at them except for... guess what? information on upcoming content in the next patch.

This whole thing wouldn't be such an issue, except, as of lately, we walk into each patch knowing absolutely nothing of what changed outside of major content implementation, into each ban without even knowing why, and rule-breaks we don't even know are rules. All this info would be exceeding easy for Nexon to provide, but then they ban people for trying to do it themselves. Nexon is banning left and right, restricting flow of information...this whole thing feels like Nexon's basically attempting to conquer 'something' via bullying and deception. Not literally, of course, but still.
Quite literally, what happened was:
1)Nexon makes a new nonsensical rule and doesn't bother announcing it.
2)They enforce this rule by overpunishing players that didn't even know it was there, thereby reducing the playerbase.
3)Nexon attempts to bully all sites serving similar purposes to its own into adopting this rule.
4)The ones that it can't bully, such as Mabination, become shunned.
5)Communication between affected players is reduced to exactly what Nexon allows.

A lot of people have lost much more than a guild member. This sucks. :/

Their behaviour is probably illegal somehow.
I mean, if a corporation can be fined for doing something else than their public actions suggested... Then again that was in Germany, I think. Wonder who it was again. Either way this shouldn't be far off from that. I mean they did prevent paying customers from enjoying the service they regularly pay for based on something that is not actually part of the EULA. That has to be an illegal economic practise even in Korea. It just has to be.

But then... there's always people who would snitches on the users to Nexon so... I'm worried about that.

I was saving up to change my forum name anyway so thanks for the discount Osay.
Wow. I still remember the Erinn Walker that featured 3 Mabinogi fansites and we were among them. Not sure what to say to this..

Nexon can't actually do shit about that, but if they do, then that should be illegal. There's no evidence to claim that a specific user would have said something. If the snitched guy gets banned, Nexon is going to go into all sorts of dirt and shit. If a noticeable number of people get banned anyway.

Don't they have the power, through the ToS, to ban anyone and everyone for nothing at all?
