No. Just no. Everyone I have ever met who was home-schooled was COMPLETELY socially retarded and had NO idea how to act around people in public. They were rude, immature, had no concept of things you shouldn't talk about in public, and could not take a hint at all or read body language/social cues.
I'm sure some are fine, but all the ones I've met were as described above.
I'm homeschooled. Not all of them are like that, some are actually more mature that I've met.

I actually think this is counter-productive, in my opinion people should be more open about what they talk about in public, but that's me.
As for homeschooling in general, the main thing some people do wrong in it is they don't supplement the regular education with taking their children out to interact with others their own age for a significant portion of time.

Wait, was that note written by the killer or one of the dead kids?
If it was written by the killer I don't give a shit what excuse he has, be it mental problems or otherwise, he still killed 20 little kids who just barely started life.
Quote from Kenny?;998303:
Written before he was shot.
It was one of the kids.

I'm thinking about how many Christmases that son of a bitch ruined right now.

If it was written by one of the kids my above statement is irrelevant.

My cousin was home schooled and she's nothing like that.
I'm actually kind of pissed now, we can kills thousands of children over seas and not give a shit, but if 20 of our own die we flip the fuck out.

Afghanistan, Iraq, and the news hasn't said a thing about the thousands of children from Jordan who have been killed by the Israelis in the last couple of years.

Oh yeahhh... I really haven't been seeing a lot about affairs over there as of late.
Why is America even over there? Cant we just mind out own business?

We're not the Israelis though.
Its only natural for a country to care for its own people above the people in different countries.

We had the choice to buy Oil from Canada with that Oil Pipeline idea.
But Obama turned it down. So Clearly we want to be tangled up in the middle eastern affairs then.

I really don't feel as though this thread is the place for debates about gun control, which can be taken to a separate thread, but rather a place to come together as a community and mourn for those affected.
While this occurs around the world daily in various forms, some worse than others, it does not in any way lessen the pain those who lost a loved one are facing right now. Whether you lost a child in Gaza or on American soil while they were at school, it is still at he end of the day the loss of a loved one who was held dear to someone else. If you feel that other situations around the world should be given equal attention and are frustrated at the intense media coverage of such an incident, while others go unnoticed, I would suggest that you be pro-active about spreading awareness.
Not just when the topic at hand presents itself.
For example the news section here on Mabination has been sort of dead lately and I think sharing information about other just as tragic happenings with the community will help to educate other members. It will keep us reminded that there is a world outside of the bubble we live in and that we should not forsake others to continue leading our quiet lives.
Lets keep this thread respectful.
I for one can't read about any of this without finding myself in tears, just as I feel when I read about other tragedies.
My thoughts go out to their families, I can't even to begin to express how saddened I am hearing about this. It's really heart wrenching.

Thank you.
All human lives are equal in the end. To justify the importance of one group over another is merely inviting the justification of murder.
