  To be fair the games came first, so Pokemon are actually supposed to look how they do in red and blue, but the execs were all, "NO. MAKE IT CLOSER TO THE ANIME WE JUST MADE NEXT TIME."
  
  And thus Pikachu lost 20 lbs.
  
  So in reality maybe the Pokemon are SUPPOSED to speak with little growls and shit, but the anime was all, "Na. That's not cute. Lets have them say their names instead."

  Only reason I said "anime" was because it's the next best thing that GameFreak can use other than the same beeps that were used since G1. It's pretty obvious that they haven't updated the cries since Charizard and Rhydon still have the same exact ones. D: And considering updating the cries, it would just be easier to have the 4-5 people that do the cries in the anime for each Pokemon do a few different versions of the cry, and be done with it. I mean, they did it with Pikachu. D:

  Speaking of cries, I love how in the original Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, each pokemon had their own unique cry (Some were similar to the games, yes, but most were unique) Come Pokemon Colosseum, let's throw that out the water :gloom3:.

  There are some rumors going around that Stealth Rocks were removed from the game or just flat out nerfed in some way.
