If he was a troll, I'd have to tip my hat off to him for being one of the best I've seen so far.
If he were, he'd be extremely successful, but I know he is not.
If he was a troll, I'd have to tip my hat off to him for being one of the best I've seen so far.
Well, a lot of things can, but there are people who try to justify rape because a woman was dressed "slutty" as if it weren't their fault they raped her, it was hers.
The same goes with this bullying "well he's annoying/he could have used google/he's baiting"
Your response is flimsy and ill structured.
First of all, the analogy is fine. The basic premise of both the rapist and the internet bully is, "I can do [bad thing] because they are doing things that people target for doing [bad thing] to them."
There's nothing wrong with the analogy.
Second of all, I laugh at your pitiful attempt to "logic" your statement. Watch me laugh. Ha!
"Both are bad, but one is treating others as you would like to be treated and one is *rape*"
That is just dumb. The dumbness is so far above of regulation levels, it's shocking.
You act like the bad act lends itself into a class whereby you arbitrarily order them in level of severity, and then further arbitrarily say that some actions are "bad enough" not to do in certain cases. But you do this behind the scenes in a personal way, and then act holier-than-thou when someone doesn't recognize the hierarchy that you likely shift around whenever it's convenient for you.
I'm just gonna say this now, How come every drama thread inevitably becomes about feminism and women's rights?
Like seriously.
so.... we rape splat?
I don't see anything about feminism in here.
The only thing REMOTELY alluding to it, is a post about rape.
But rape exists for men too, ya know.
Alright, so I'm going to go ahead and clean up the spam. Regardless of Bean Rua or not, if you're not contributing to the thread I don't want you in it.
TO THOSE SAYING "WHO CARES":
Apparently, you and quite a few other people care if you consistently feel the need to go into threads and "act" like you don't care. If you don't care, you wouldn't feel the need to post. Don't be a part of the problem, folks. Be a part of the solution.
Because the misogyny is strong here at times.
If you're looking for decency on the internet, then I'm sorry, but you're really at the wrong place. Sure, I can decide not to be an asshole, but there are two sides to an argument, and my side is just as valid as the other. I'm sure this applies to many other people. None of us like his threads, and we want it to stop. If he can put the slightest amount of knowledge into his posts, then sure, I'll deal with that. But the amount of bullshit and retardation he posts is overwhelming.
The examples are different. One is a response to a personal attack. Wearing a dress or whatever isn't a personal attack. If you honestly believe that actively trolling someone is the same as wearing a dress for your own benefit, then it's not even worth reasoning with you.
Both subjective morality and the legal system agree that different acts have different orders of severity and deserve different treatments. Again, if you disagree with this because of your own personal philosophy, that's fine.
EDIT: Furthermore, I was responding specifically to the statement that people attack him because of his attitude. Here's an example:
Someone comes up to me on the street and calls me a name. I respond in kind.
I'm not condoning bullying - I'm saying that responding to trolling with trolling isn't in the same vein as being raped because you wore a short dress. They're not similar.
If you wish to use wording and phrasing to say that I had a different meaning, go ahead. My grammar isn't the best and i'm far from eloquent. But that was the intent behind my post.
