Yeah, but the basic point remains.

Oh god the electric bill. Oh there is the gas bill right after. Internet is so overpriced. Water is that expensive? Wait sewage bills are even more than the water bill? Wait garbage disposal requires paid subscription? Car insurance? Medical insurance? Student loans? Your monthly rent/mortgage?
They pound away at your human soul until you are a crippled frail being of hopelessness.
Spoke like someone who actually knows the grown up experience and knows it's not all it's crack up to be lol. Yeah, don't wish to be grown up, if you wish to be grown up chances are you are not ready for it.

You make it sound so negative. It's not.

It really isnt. It can be stressful yeah, but I prefer the way I am now over how I was when I was younger.
I like the feeling of being responsible for myself

I don't want to be rude, but how many of you "adults" are still in college? Or having your parents pay for your cell phone? Health insurance?
If any of these are "yes", you're not exactly there yet.
Besides, I only wanted to juxtapose the overwhelming positivity in the thread. I enjoy adulthood as well. But freedom does come at the price of huge responsibility, something I thought I knew when I was living by myself in college. I sometimes miss the simpler days when I was so unaware and blissfully ignorant.

Maybe not for girls, but for guys, my future will probably be this:
Total Time = Job + Family. Work all day, come home to spend time with family, sleep, then back at it again next day, and then retirement comes. It's not a pretty picture.

I enjoy being an adult, so much more freedom than when I was a kid.
I really feel more of an individual than a mindless puppet like I used to.
Is it stressful? Yeah.
Is it worth it? Hell yeah!

Are you implying that women cannot get jobs or that they do not spend time with the family? Who do you think helps take care of the kids and helps run the house? Santa's elves?

Or who gets pregnant, gives birth, ideally breastfeeds and looks after the infants all day staying at home to begin with.

Can't tell if serious or satire...

I am saying women have the choice NOT have a job. If you are a man and you stay home and make your wife work and feed you, you are generally look down upon by people.

Only if you use the opportunity to give some birth. Don' give it too often though or you'll be considered a lazyass stay-at-home who just wants to get benefits.

Pretty sure anyone on the poverty line would disagree. Would take both the man and the woman working to make ends meet. Possibly even a child or two. Single women also need a job to be able to pay utility bills and buy groceries, unless they want to live in a cardboard box and starve.
