That would make things a lot better. Maybe make it so that balance from stats is capped at 65% and you only need like 500~600 dex to achieve the cap and everything would be fair for all the races.

If you don't rank the skill the penalty is 50% dex. Elves are stuck with the 50% dex penalty as they have no heavy armor mastery.

Giants deserve leather armor mastery too in my opinion... Giants have nice leather armor sets.

Leather Armor is light armor.
Anywho, I really believe Clothing Mastery should be a thing, to cover Clothes and Magical Clothes.

Clothing does have pretty much all of the set effects, though I wouldn't be opposed to an unarmored skill.

How can clothing offer protection in a battle? Between you and your enemy, all you have is a thin piece of fabric as your defense.
If there's going to be clothing Mastery skill, it should be for protection against magic. Something along the lines of a Robe Mastery Skill.
Other than that, clothing should just be for style, and nothing more.

Agreed. Perhaps different stat bonuses, however? It'd be cool to see it do things like add dex and luck for life skills.

Well, I've only pvp'd maybe 15 times. I hope there's some limit to the apparent knockback resistance shown in that video.

Liking this very much. With this combined with the new defense bonuses from from the strength stat, will we even need mana shield?

But what about the defense piercing bonus from crossbows? I do find it odd that Axe Mastery gets the piercing bonus too, shouldn't Blunt Mastery have that instead?

Right, Elves. Not the fact that you can wear 2 accessories now making light armor non-existent without this penalty. I know! they should lower that -50% dex to -35% herp derp
