Not really. The new skills may make magic overpowered, if that were the case.
People jumping to conclusions too fast.
Depending on how the new skills work. If new skills have no cool-down or low cool-down enough to be almost spammable. I'd be almost fine with the new formula. However... knowing new skills... watch the three different Casting skills (Chain, Mobile, and Instant) have over 20 seconds of cool-down. :l
So yes, we're jumping into the conclusions quickly because we don't want DevCat to fuck up something before they actually go into live.

This is true, but Mabi is a role playing game.
Some people would rather do it the way that's fun to them.
Even if gunner was a terrible skillset, I'd still do it because it's appealing/fun to me.
It's the same reason why I still main magic more than half the time.
If everyone did the efficient skills, all we'd see is rangers, puppeteers, and fighters.
that's not the point.
he's saying acc has no use.
extra buff you get from acc isnt worth money.
and which is totally wrong.

If you're retuning 60x damage on max, why do you need them? It's still under 10%, correct?
I can see why someone might choose to use accessories, but the point is no one really needs them. Sorry for derailing the thread.
Nobody
really "needs" anything.
You don't need the dexterity which heavy armor now penalizes nor do you actually need any equipment at all.
Accessory repairs are incredibly cheap.

True pros can run everything naked and bare-handed.

Exactly, only reason why I'm arguing about it :/
Plus, accessories have useful reforges like shieldless reforge. (Yes you can get that on a helmet as well but that's better used for better reforges)

How is anyone spending more than 50k a week per accessory on repairs? Heavy armor repairs are more expensive than that.
I've used precise lillies, oblivion fierces, oblivion avengers, steel needle lillies, etc over the years and the costs are negligible while the stat boosts are significant.
ALSO YOU GUYS AND CAT FORGET we get to make enchantable accessories that come with +10 to every stat that cost 18k a point per repair in g18 with the new skill :l
Also, the whole heavy armor + accessory thing is a lot more balanced in KR where they don't have fancy fierce, steel needle or avenger accessories like we do. Best they can do is obliv swarming/lilly/earthquake.
Listen to Indexu, people. He spouts common sense like the fountain of truth.
Quote from Zekkii;1055645:
I can do all of those without trouble though. If you're willing to give me a pair of Oblivion Fierce accessories I'll be sure to wear them for you though.
My point exactly - If you're saying it's so negligible (which it's not), why would you wear them?
Derp.

the money it cost to get those accs (real(NX gacha) or real-to-game (NX stuff > sell >gold)) are higher than the cost of repairing an armor for over some moths.
i repair mine once each 2-3 weeks, costing near 200k a full-set repair, lower damage, less deaths (sometimes weeks without deaths if i'm lucky).
i don't even add the repairs of accs since they can be cheap over time (repairing a point or 2 when needed) but the cost of getting them are not (unless you got accs with an average ES on them).
All depends on the resources you want to spend on a game, i know i'm losing a lot of damage, but hey my lag can kill me if i'm not careful with my defense, or not having chance to ping, and i don't need to spend anything but the gold i get by playing.

Oh, for those whos dura goes down quickly on accessories:
Keep in mind that when wearing accessories with other equipment, the accessories will "soak" the dura loss from being hit. So if you Mana Shield tank a lot *looks at Rekhyt* then your accessories will lose dura faster then normal.

Unless it changed or new ones were added that aren't on the wiki, every accessory is 46k per point.
But okay then, 46k a point is super cheap, and everyone can easily afford them when you're wearing two. Yeah, I mean getting close to 100k per point every so often is nothing

well they only have to afford accs + weapons repairs
but yea, its cheaper to repair a full armor set than accs, even if you get hit a lot in armor, but some people don't care about money since they can pay the repairs.

Whatever, in the end it just comes down to opinion. It's not worth arguing about it.

Wearing accessories puts my damage from newbie + to mid-level player.
Problem?

I can't imagine why they would have cooldowns. The skills don't do anything on their own. Far more likely to just have a chance of activation while active, like the current Chain Cylinder.
Well, except Meteor Storm, but who knows. It could turn out to not be usable "indoors", which would make it pretty useless.
