Why not have Str and Dex add to Weapon balance? You need both in real life to use weapons effectively.

Strength already adds 1 defense per 10, 4 max for melee weapons per 10, 3.5 max to control bars per 10, and 2.5 max to puppets and guns. I wouldn't try applying logic to this game, or every stat would apply to everything.

How is anyone spending more than 50k a week per accessory on repairs? Heavy armor repairs are more expensive than that.
I've used precise lillies, oblivion fierces, oblivion avengers, steel needle lillies, etc over the years and the costs are negligible while the stat boosts are significant.
ALSO YOU GUYS AND CAT FORGET we get to make enchantable accessories that come with +10 to every stat that cost 18k a point per repair in g18 with the new skill :l
Also, the whole heavy armor + accessory thing is a lot more balanced in KR where they don't have fancy fierce, steel needle or avenger accessories like we do. Best they can do is obliv swarming/lilly/earthquake.
First I am hearing of this, can someone post a link to where i can read about this skill

Though the only talents/skills it wouldn't make sense to use strength for are... magic, commerce and some life skills, and alchemy, I would think.
Though the physics engine can be amusing at times in its inaccuracy: I was with a commerce party one time in Sen Mag (?) and had one bandit all to myself along the very edge of the map with his back to the rock face. I got him with a magnum shot at close range, and was amused to see him get knocked back back (as normal) but then bounce off the rock and back over my head and behind me. Apparently none of the momentum was lost when his spine crumbled.

Speaking of physics, land height is not taken into any account whatsoever when distance is a factor.
Only air (flight) height is recognized in the game.

I thought this was basic knowledge? Hence why we can charge up sheer cliffs at 500 MPH

just because its basic doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a repeat mention.

Dexterity should apply to gunner, and fighter due to acrobatics. Dexterity should also apply to bard, because it takes a lot of dexterity to play instruments. Intelligence should apply to everything because if you don't know how to use it you can't blank effectively. Strength allows you to fire arrows better, punch enemies (fighter), and so on. There's no end to it, most things take smarts, power, and fine motor skills.

It could make the game more interesting to have dex and strength contribute to almost any skill set, as your damage would be roughly the same but you could play with the style you enjoy most. Intelligence could also contribute to skills and add special bonuses, such as increasing injury rate (aiming at weak points) and effectiveness of counter (by anticipating enemy movements.)

Willpower should contribute to everything because it takes dedication to train yourself constantly, and avoid crapping yourself whenever you see a huge dragon.

85 pages, nothing but talk about the balance stat.

Should only apply to humans... because giants are naturally like "meh, a dragon" and elves are like "YAY A DRAGON I WANNA RIDE ON ITS BACK AND PEW PEW!".
