Okay, Here the deal, I will be updated this first post regularly with my test results about the Alchemy changes currently on KR test. It seems people are eager to finally figure out the new formula and that's were we come in.
Currently I have found that the absolute min of Flame burst is lower (while in deadly) and the absolute max (while at max HP) is higher. That means it's dependent on the current value of the stat. While transed my damage also increased this means that damage is not dependent on percent of max stat. It seems the potential of alchemy has risen but a bit, not drastically but it has more potential.
Feel free to post tests for me to do, and any other KR testers feel free to help me gather data every bit helps.
Finding
- New flame burst forula is most likely (Old_Formula+(Current_HP-100*.2))*crit_modifier
- chain cylinder is 100% activation for the number of additional charges at that rank. Ex. r6 is 100% chance for +4 charges ever 15 seconds.
- Life drain's damage modifier occurs at the end of the drain not the beginning.

Life drain is said to be strong if you use it when your HP is low.
I mean it'd be obvious that the more HP you're missing the more you can drain, but they meant the Knockback damage, right?
Since most people would drain to max HP on strong mobs, with a high ranked Life Drain, is the knockback damage boost calculated from your HP before you drain, or after your HP has already been restored by the draining process?

Rank 6 allows you to chain +4 (5 charges total) EVERY SINGLE time you chain cast.
Why is rank 1 better? 15 second vs. 10 second cool down.
That means chain cylinder is not that you roll between +1~+4 charges at r6+, but it is ALWAYS +4 at r6+. =)

Okay, I can say with about 90% certainty it's your HP when the knock back damage happens. Which is kinda lame.

I'd imagine at some point, they'll realize that. I'm sure not all of this data is absolute.

You guys must have fallen a bit behind the information curve if you're only now figuring that out. The Flame Burst duration reforge will essentially allow you to endlessly spam fully charged Flame Burst following the renewal.
Chain Cylinder may have received a rather nice buff but it only affects two skills. Alchemy is just as overspecialized as it's always been.
Anyone know what the master title has been changed to?

Wasn't it suppose to be rank 1 life drain:
(Current Formula Damage Knockback) + (Remaining HP Gone) = knock back damage?
I think it's possible that it even counts negative life points for knockback damage, though I can't say for sure.
Could be wrong though.

Well, I guess you could look at it this way.
Drain damage is 1 HP per 1 Damage.
Which is better than Flame Burst's 1 Damage per 5 HP (although with 5 hits it's similar isn't it...)
I wonder what the formula is though.
Is it a boost of X damage per Y HP lost or what...
How about Enemies that use that weird Life Drain-ish AoE skill?

That's a completely different skill we'll never get. Most of it's damage is from the draining portion itself anyway.
