Point out few Tips and Errors:
Your getting the idea and seeing things a little better, ill give you credit for that. However all this in 30minutes is a bit overtime (for future reference). But you did make big difference compared to your first post. When you shade, start light. If you're not sure about which area to shade,
identify the shape of the shadows.
Also keep your shade consistent, don't make it look like chicken scratches like your first portrait. Dont randomly shade in different directions, try to follow the shape (tonal shading) will help create a better identification of depth and shape.

Thanks for the tips. I made a few edits(ears, nose) then noticed I was out of time do I shaded everything for class in 30 minutes. Ill do another drawing either tonight or tommorow morning in line and see if I can get it better.
Homework may be done but I'm not happy yet on how it has turned out! I know I can do better if I keep working on it.

Posted the final image in the OP. I know I still have a ton to improve on, so I am going to continue updating every time I do a self-portrait or draw someone (still want to draw my little sister, but perhaps not yet...)
I think my shading improved.... somewhat. I tried to follow the advice you posted but i failed in some areas. I need to try again.
I have a few that I am working on, but to be honest I took a look at it and immediately saw a lot of corrections that needed to be done, so I will not be posting it.

I had to move and had a lot of stuff going on, but I drew more! Posting on front page soon.
Edit- Posted 3 drawings, will upload more. I think I am improving!

2 more drawings to upload! Somewhat older, I'll upload one of my more recent ones later.
I will be updating both the first post and the new ones from now on, so people don't have to scroll back to the first post to see my recent drawings.

Still seems a bit off, but I can tell what it is!

Oil pastels are weird, but I like them.
I was going for an "Old DOS game" style for the last one, don't think I did so well.

In an effort to post more random stuff I draw, I will begin making at least one doodle each day and post it online.
Keeping with my policy of not spam-bumping though, I will do them in batches every few days so everyone doesn't need to see this everywhere.
Once I am making nicer drawings I'll redo the organization and post only my favorites on the opening post, for now I will not be updating it though, as that takes time.

I... I am not sure what happened here.

I've been playing maplestory a bit lately. Never noticed how big the heads were until this drawing somehow.

I am not sure what happened here either. Surprisingly, this is all I have left of my anthropology notes from yesterday.

All I can say is: practice, practice, practice. You're doing well with your drawings, but part of getting better lies in analyzing your mistakes; giving your works a critical eye and thinking of how it could be made better. Learning how to draw a good picture is in understanding why it's good, so that the knowledge can be applied to future works. If you haven't tried it before, re-draw one of your past works and see how you do. There's also a lot of drawing guides on DeviantART.
Anyways, good luck and keep the faith! [S]don't fail your class![/S]

Drawing 2 was over a while ago, and I even did drawing 3 since then(with a significantly better grade and more progress)
Thanks though, I got a low c in drawing 2, and an A in drawing 3, if anyone cares.
Will post more doodles and start on a large-scale drawing tomorrow. I got an idea I want to try.

4/7 days of doodles. I have enough to post a few more, but they are horrible even by my low standards.

Like I said, these doodles are not the greatest, there more to keep me from forgetting to draw something everyday. I just started on another large-scale drawing that I am going to actually put a lot of work into, I will post that whenever it gets done. It wont be anything incredible, just a still life.

Hands and feet are still terribly hard, though better than attempt 1 through 100.

And that folks, is how you improve in drawing. By studying anatomy, life drawing, study, study, practice, and not giving up.
It's pretty obvious that you have improved A LOT, but there's obviously A LOT more to go (it's really a never ending journey, probably all skills are).
Congratulations on still working on this. Keep going!

Thanks, I have been constantly working since the first post, not only with all my drawing classes but also for fun. Its hard to fit in time to draw sometimes due to my programming assignments as well, but every little bit helps!
I just got a tablet, will try to doodle some more with it and post the results, its really different from a pen and paper, but in a good way.
