  I think Bean Rua is fine as it is, because it's always been a place for pretty much any nonsense. It's not meant for serious topics. It probably helps some to relieve stress that other areas of the forum would not.
  It's better to keep it lenient there, so people don't use other threads for what some might call spam.

  As for the negative reputation, it won't be sent onto people who "ruin" the party like... I remember one time when Splat made a thread asking if there's such a staff nude section, and most people was joking about it but I posted in it saying that there's no such thing, right?
  
  And it won't be sent to people who have opinions that they shared in a polite way even if more than 90% of the users hated the opinions someone made?

I personally don't care much for bean rua derailing, if you don't want that I would say you should just post in Everything Else. For the frequency of posts, I just don't know how we'd actually enforce that. How do we decide if the threads are too frequent and spammy?   And to be completely honest, splat's thread count is actually not as high as everyone is exaggerating it to be. On average, he makes only about 2 bean rua threads a day, a frequency which is actually much lower than other certain members on specific days. Many of them do stay in the front page, simply because you guys are responding to this so called unwelcome spam.
  
  Well, that aside for the moment, it looks like everyone won't be opposed to the idea of making it clear that we won't allow image only responses or agreement only responses like "^" or "this" outside of bean rua. We can (and to a degree, have been) enforce that. But I really don't see how it would be unacceptable in a spam and off-topic board, so we're just not gonna touch on it.
  
  Anyways, keep it coming. I've already heard all the complaints, what I really want are ideas and plans.

  Most of these get cleaned up very fast so I don't think its anything to be concerned about.

  I think 5 a day is pretty reasonable. I don't think it should necessarily be enforced in the sense that if you make a thread, you can only make 4 more within a 24-hour period, but I think it's pretty noticeable when someone is making a large amount of threads in a short amount of time. In that case, they should be approached and told that they need to scale it back a little and that Bean Rua isn't their own personal shithole, instead it's a collective shithole. Instead, they should think before they post and find some way to consolidate what they're pumping out.
  
  I guess you can argue that without those people, there would be nothing in Bean Rua and the people who complain are the ones who rarely post threads (I know I rarely post any original content here)...even still, I would like to enjoy a relatively spam-free viewing experience.

  People who complain are the same people doing exactly what they're complaining about. That is why this is so difficult for me. I just don't understand what everyone is expecting. They call out spam but are spamming themselves. I asked for specific examples and yet I haven't gotten one from those people either. Probably because they realize this.
  
  As for thread count limits, I'm going to need to do some thinking on it.
