Here's imo a quality endgameish enchant setup (avoiding silly things like Amnesia Fierce accs and the like, and assuming no new gacha accs) for Gunner:
Accs: Oblivion Avenger x2 (44 max)
Head: Oblivion Dexterity Chinese Dragon Helm (20 max)
Body: Ancient Champion Chinese Dragon Armor (35 max)
Feet: Brake Butterfly Chinese Dragon Boots (28 max)
Gloves: Amnesia Dignified (13 max, 12 balance) Dealla S upgraded for balance over min damage
Guns: Officer Fierce (50 max, 10 balance)
With 1k in STR and Int and S5 and maxed talent and mastery you should have close to 550 max, and with 1200 total you'll have 600 gunner max, and with about 220 dex you'll be at capped balance. (27% from gun, 10% from Violent, 12% from Dig, 30% from Dex, though you lose 100 units of range. You'll need about 150 dex to make up the lost 6 balance so depends on where you are dex-wise. 400 dex pretty much means you're fine for gunner with this setup.)
Enjoy your enchant protect pots.
You can knock a LOT of money off the cost though if you go Automatic (15% balance and 8 atk speed) over Violent, and Viscount over Butterfly and replace Dignified with Enormous, Mark or Camo (so a net of at least -14), and then replace Avenger with Swarming (6% balance) or something. It also makes Brake and Champion a LOT more feasible.

I was curious, how do gun repair kits work? I heard about them a while back and I was curious on what the success rate was.

92% from what I've heard.

Just like a Blacksmith Coupon, Tailoring Coupon, etc...
You use it, and it goes to a repair window with 92% success rate.

Honestly, you can repair your guns at every trade post.

If I'm going to main guns what heavy armor should I use? Is there a preferred set or anything? Right now I have a 10/10 Thames set so I can use sword as a backup to guns. Is that ok? D;
Also, someone was trying to argue today that attack speed is worthless for guns when you can just focus on max damage enchants. So. Are they wrong? :c

I say Chinese dragon if you want atk speed or just use something that gives you ping. I hope that they release a gunner set eventually.

I'd think Attack Speed would benefit normal attacks and the usage of Frenzy. If you plan on skilling you could use max damage enchants over attack speed enchants.
On the topic, what's the say on Gunner talent level up bonuses?

Chinese dragon armour.
Plus, if you have viscount, which is a good suffix anyway, you don't have to worry about any compromising, just slap automatic on your gun. o -o

Personally I'd stick with Thames, the difference doesn't seem that noticeable to me. Given that most skills like shooting rush and bulletstorm aren't effected by speed enhancement, and the fact that it's not that groundbreaking for frenzy, I don't see the need to sacrifice upwards of 20 max damage for it. That's just my opinion though, mostly because I this Thames > Chinese for a hybrid.
Using automatic could give some much needed balance though, so you might just want to use it.

Well, the discussion a few pages back pretty much said not to bother with CD armor and to just use the enchants for attack speed, so that's what I was planning on doing if I can ever get the enchant.

If you do that you must be aware that every time you swap to your gun it'll lag. You can fix it with mods, but that's against the ToS and could lead to getting banned.

I doubt the chance will be any higher than it already is.

Fuck, I didn't even think of that. No automatic for me. Huehuehue
