Been in a black dragon raid, seems that the quest is accumulative and also locked to every channel separately. They stay even when you change channels or log out. You don't have to complete in one go.
I was revived a couple of times for dying. The only problem is that people might not have feathers due to them being on pets.
Tried using paper airplane to dodge attacks but seems that I can't dodge the last blow no matter how I try. Is that a timing issue or so?
Dragon raid would be interesting to see!
I like how they went out of their way for a range type quest, but nothing for mage/alch. :l... I just noticed that. XD
The NPC Guard near the raid area sells potions and feathers...
That's because other than giants, everyone has access to most range and melee skills from the get go. My elf is almost 1k total and still only has icebolt (at rank F).
That...still doesn't make a good point. Anyone can be a mage. Anyone can melee. Giants can't range at all (aside from guns but guns aren't magnum shot, and that's just glitch anyway so it's not even a valid point.) ... Then again half of them are just the exact same minus what minor mob to attack. XD

Sure it does. Not anyone can be a mage and not anyone can be an alchemist either.
Let's say theoretically my elf got the mage role (if there was one), first off I'd be shafted right away because I have only icebolt at rank F, second off I have like 100mp with no way of getting mp pots. How does one last a (I'm assuming) 20 minute fight spamming icebolt alone with just 100mp?
Now let's say my elf got the alchemy role (again, if there was one) I'd also be fucked from the getgo. If you would like an idea, here is a picture of my alchemy tab

As you can see I don't even have water cannon.
Now playing devils advocate to myself, you could argue that this could be said about melee and range too. What if the player had no range or melee prior to the dragon raids? Well, that's no longer possible due to new characters going through that tutorial or w/e it is that gives you all the melee skills. It is assumed that a player trying to do the dragon raid would have at least finished the tutorial quests. But let's say they didn't even do that, upon equipping a bow you automatically get ranged attack and upon equipping a sword/blunt/whatever you automatically are able to hit the monster. With alchemy or magic you have to go out of your way to get any of the skills, nothing is just given to you.
My human is 1200 total and still only has ranged attack (at rank F).
EDIT:
Not anyone can be an archer.
Let's say theoretically my human got the ranger role, first off I'd be shafted right away because I have only ranged attack at rank F, second off I have like 30 dex with no way of getting a bow or arrows. How does one last a (I'm assuming) 20 minute fight spamming ranged alone with just 30 dex?
Actually anyone can be an archer in this case, the role does not require you to do a certain amount of damage but simply requires you to hit it so 30 dex would suffice. As for not being able to get a bow/arrows, pretty much every weapon NPC has them, no NPC sells mp potions.
Snipe
Attack White Dragon - Point = Damage * 0.2, Max 1500 Points
Attack Snowfield Slayer - Point = Damage * 0.2 Max 1500 Points
Attack Blade Wyvern - Point = Damage * 0.1, Max 3000 Points
Magnum White Dragon - 40 Times, Max 1000 Points
Magnum Blade Wyvern - 30 Times, Max 1000 Points
Notice that 6000 out of 8000 of the points (a full 3/4ths) is all damage based.
Also, you complain that magic and alchemy isn't fully accessable, neither is Magnum shot (which btw is the skill required to get your last 2000 points). Meaning that low dex and not having the skill means you have no access to all 8000 of your points.
And before you say you can go Archer talent and get Magnum Shot: Icebolt, Firebolt, AND Lightning Bolt as well as Water Cannon (and Wind Blast if it matters) are all readily available if you were to select their talents as well, so don't even try and go there.
Anyone can do melee (cept elves with lances, that's it.)
Anyone can do range (cept giants period)
Anyone can do fighter
Anyone can do Mage
Anyone can do healer
Anyone can do Alch
Anyone can do bard
Anyone can do guns
Anyone can do puppet
My point was this...
Gaurd: Attack and Smash
Support: Attack and Smash
Assault: Attack and Smash
Recovery: Attack, heal, and revive
Snipe: Attack and Magnum
Melee, Melee, Melee, healer, range. They could have done this so much better and included all skill types. But instead they focus on three melee, one healer, and a range.
EVERYONE can smash. EVERYONE can heal. Not everyone can range. If they're going to throw range in there they should throw in more.
