  Spirits do have M.def and Prot though, Hydra just pushes the M.def/prot to 0.

  That was what I was getting at. It probably has 0 def and 0 prot but it is hard to imagine it hitting that high regardless.

  The numbers still don't add up. Assuming that he has near maximum mana (2100), Water Alchemic Damage (~150), and r1 Water Cannon (~136) he should deal roughly 6~7k damage when fully charged on a neutral enemy, non-crit. With a rain cloud he should hit no higher than 50k, barring the combo card.

  
  
  Don't forget reforges.
  
  You can get Watercannon max damage reforge on Cylinder, Guard cylinders and Gloves too.
  Body reforge for Raincasting's WC buff
  Boot reforge for Water alchemy efficiency
  and so on...

  Has anyone been in the Coill Abyss dungeon yet?
  Is that crossbow a drop from the boss or end chest or is it like a reward that everyone gets for completing the dungeon?

  After crunching some numbers it seems that you can deal that much damage with both an Abyss and a Guard Cylinder. The Water Cannon Max Damage reforge can be applied in three places and unlike traditional water alchemic damage, it receives the improved damage multiplier bonus.
  
  I've also found a video of the Duke boss fight. It seems that he has defenses on par with at least Languhiris. He's got a lot of protection which you'll have to whittle down. I've seen him dive underground through his shadow and summon around 30 Black Ship Rats, Nightmares, and Light Gargoyles.
  
  When his health is fully depleted, he'll kneel down and allow you to execute him.
  
  The group I watched took out the last quarter of his health in like 10 seconds but they dealt around 2.5-4k per hit using Way of the Gun.

  Loving the "life" aspects of the update, I'll let the efficientnogers fap to their numbers, for me this is all about the cooking and the facelifting. The feast idea sounds great, reminds me of WoW, hopefully the buffs are decent enough to convince folks to start eating. And fucking finally, they added a skill to aid leather gathering, just like Tarlach's moongate, IT ONLY TOOK THEM 10 YEARS!
  
  The face update got me off guard, the pointy eared noodle they used as model actually has a decent face.
