  AFAIK there's no official market for Vocaloid programs in NA (at least for the Japanese voice banks like Miku) so it's odd how something less known (or money-making if you will) is released in NA but something like FMA wasn't (perhaps Crypton/Yamaha charged Nexon NA a lot less compared to Adult Swim/Toonami)
  
  These "crossovers" are usually meant as a [S]conspiracy to gain more followers for both sides[/S], a tool to promote both participants (co-op advertisement is what I call it)

  Vocaloid did have a couple concerts in NA though, so they have a solid fanbase in NA while FMA doesn't.
  
  Plus it's easier to get permission for Vocaloid than FMA.

  There are dubbed versions of FMA, though, meaning it's aired in the US before, so FMA still has a market too. That doesn't even include those who have watched subbed version. Permission though, I understand.
  
  I'd love something like an SAO crossover, since I enjoyed the anime. It'd probably only be a fad though, and the amount of SAO-related stuff would go away in about a month or two, just like miku. The concept of crossovers is nice, but the reactions of fanboys/girls and haters are ridiculous sometimes.

  Thats not the point. She likes SAO, but whats shes saying is that people who are complaining about the outfits can just blacklist the people who are wearing the outfits and cosplaying, since i guess people have a problem with cosplay?
  
  just outfits, not a huge deal. And I havent seen a single SAO cosplayer in my server that has been preaching that SAO is the best. Maybe if you ask them what the best anime is, they will say SAO, or if they hear something SAO related, they will flip. But i do that. And I don't SAO cosplay. So cosplayer != fanboys, vice versa, and I think its perfectly fine for someone to think SAO is the best anime ever as long as they don't preach it in dunby square 24/7.

  I think there are many other items as well that do this. The only one I can think of that hasn't done this was the Full Metal Alchemist character cards.

  
  
  That's my point. We never got the full SNS stuff, never got FMA, never got full 2NE1 stuff. SAO stuff won't be any different.
