Hopefully you'll be able to even CREATE a character here.
My friend had a beta character in our server and now he can't get in because it got deleted so he's starting anew in a different server and doing a world transfer later when they're out.
Are those free? They're apparently going to improve their servers this week or something.
And I could just play for the weekend, delete my character and join you. Almost nothing will be lost and I'll gain playing experience.

Will world transfer be an in-game purchase or do we need to use real money?
-

^ That's a better way of wording what I meant to say. If it's not an ingame purchase or free then I'm probably not doing it. Especially not for like 3 days of playing...

Ah, already wanting more money~
Would be nice if they allowed free world transfers right now like they did in GW2. This way we could just transfer out to those empty Japenese servers until more room is made on the NA/EU servers.

Is it just me, or do the main villains from the enemy city look like their wearing the guyver biosuits? Not to mention they have echoy voices when they have their helmets on.

It's not free on either game, or WoW.
You need staff to do it and the cost to limit and cover the service time. GW2's has a time limit.

Could be argued that the costs are built into the subscription and averaged out among the playerbase. All they'd need to do is limit how many times a person can transfer in a certain time period. There's really no reason a person needs to transfer more than about once or twice per three months anyway, max.

Also Guild Wars 2 was made buy to play to pay off investors fast and make the impression that Guild Wars 2 was popular. The cash shop was just for keeping up servers.
Square Enix didn't have any investors for FFXIV and used their own money.

Finally get on to find out there's an incoming maintenance 2 hours later. Oh well, at least I got to play some~
Level 22 so just waiting on the main story to take me to Grand Companies. Chocobo here I come!
Also I did that Ifrit instance today and damn was it horrible. I mean don't get me wrong it wasn't hard or anything but I had invited this tank named Z'attano (we already had a tank but he was only other person there). We fine a lancer and shortly after a Thaumaturge comes in wanting a party. I wanted the THM more then the tank person but I didn't want to be a jerk. I wish I was a jerk.
This kid made us fail 3 times because he wouldn't focus that spike thing Ifrit puts down with us. The first time it was ok, but the second and third were just UGH. By the 4th try he STILL didn't focus it with us, but we kind of wised up to it and pretty much just gave it our all (I stopped focusing on healing since we didn't have a healer) and the tank guy STILL didn't help us. But we made it through that part, he died and became dead weight and we completed it without his help. THAT WAS PAINFUL.

Did you tell him what to do in that fight? I'm assuming you did and he just didn't care to read.
Anyways as for me, I got my gladiator to lv 30 and conjuror to lv 9. I'm closing in on paladin!
Also got to try chocobo companion combat for a couple mins before maint started.

Yea we did, and he pretty much acknowledged it but failed to follow through... It was annoying but what I'm most mad about is the fact that we carried him through it. I was just worried I wouldn't make it before the maintenance, though. So all is well.

I've wiped on the first try for some dungeons before but not four times and I try to change what I did wrong...
Geeze and it's just one fight too. He should give up being a tank.

When I did my Ifrit battle I didn't help focus down the nail, just focused on tanking though our DPS guys were good enough to kill it right on time.

It'll be a fond memory to look back on. I'll probably be laughing about it in the very near future.
