Okay, how about everyone just compromises then instead of arguing over something as unimportant as what the staff now believes what is considered worthy of being a sticky and what isn't. For example, Kenero
made a thread in the future content section that contains a list with links to a bunch of threads that people might be interested in looking at, so why not make in the Mabinogi Talk section a stickied thread that has the links to the threads that people are complaining about. That way, the people who still want those threads stickied can still easily access those threads, but the people who think those threads aren't really all that important enough to be stickied can then not have to see those threads at the top of the first page. And another plus side is that should there be more threads that get created that fall under the category of "interesting thread, but not really
necessary", it can be added to the new sticky and be on its way.
Really, this situation is kinda ridiculous. There's really no reason for 17 pages worth of arguments, especially since Ashi said that she'll resticky those threads to appease the massive amount of people upset by their removal, but she's also
busy with real life, so that's why they haven't been restickied. People really need to learn some patience, both in general, as well as with changes and see how things play out before wanting things to go back to the way they were before.
And while I believe that you guys should just let the accomplishment and failure threads just retire and make new ones, since those two threads are three and a half years old and have just over 30,000 posts between them. People are talking about how some other threads should have been removed due to irrelevancy, but they forget that those threads have posts in them like the entire first page of the Accomplishment thread where there was only sorta 2 things related to accomplishments within the game. There are more than a couple "I'm playing this game still" or "I came back to play" or "I quit this game" in both threads, and accomplishments that happened back in 2010 are almost 100% eclipsed by today's standards. For example, just using the first 5 pages of the accomplishment thread:
Does anybody really use the Darkness enchant anymore?
Reaching total level 700 nowadays still has you being considered a newbie, though you are getting up there.
Now that exploration statues have come out in the Gachapon, does anyone really do Wyvern hunting?
Getting Infrablack is what, a few rebirths?
I'm sure a few people are now fighting the Prairie Dragon again since the field boss revamp + exploration uncap happened, but I'm sure that just fighting it isn't an accomplishment.
Poison is such a rare status effect, so making a suit with +7 poison immunity is a waste of time, right?
Farming is a complete waste of time, says so many people that talk about it in Mabinogi talk. And multiply that by 3.
Who the hell wears Admiral Suits this day and age? That's like so 2009. And the hell is a Jagged Mini Skirt? And aren't Lava Cat Robes pointless and rather tacky looking? Why not just get a Mysterious Robe? They're rarer and look better.
So like I said, accomplishments that have happened in 2010 aren't exactly up to snuff with today's accomplishments, and like I said, there were quite a few in there that didn't have anything to do with the game, or people saying they were still playing, or quit playing. And hell, there was a person that even decided that being 10 AP away from R2 Firebolt is an accomplishment. Of course, that was just 5 pages, so now multiply that by 435, and you'll see that there's a lot of clutter in that thread. And naturally, there's not one iota of discussion or saying congrats in those 5 pages. So really, while sometimes it's okay to brag about something you did, not too many people actually give a damn that you're 10 AP away from R2 Firebolt, and if you're accomplishment is really worthy, you should just be willing to make a new thread so that people can discuss it with you. But that's just my opinion.
