But my flirting is unstoppable. Not even I can stop it.
In any case, we came to a resolution: Arguing about this is stupid.

While I would not mind promoting continued discussion regardless of resolution, neither side seems capable of internalizing each other's arguments. Especially since this is mostly about preferences.

Precisely why we quit, we both saw we werent getting anywhere and gave up. Might have been a bit too late tho, but its w/e its u and the mods decision nothing we can do about it. Can't say it wasnt a fun little argument tho.

Let's acknowledge the following facts:
1. Mabinogi Talk section doesn't have any informative stickies.
2. It won't have any informative threads which wouldn't fall under future content/life skills/questions sections.
Server status thread was created to stop people from spamming the forums every time servers went down or something else happened. It hasn't been used much because the servers were stable for a long time. Two days ago anyone who looked at nexon forums for any information saw dozens of threads with similar titles, all about the same issue. Not to mention the 100+ page main thread that was spammed into oblivion and back. It used to happen here as well, until mods decided to contain everything in one thread. Even when that thread was on page 1, a few new threads were made about it. Sure we can hope that servers remain stable and that we won't need the topic, but have fun cleaning up the mess next time something goes wrong.
As far as accomplishment/failure threads go, I'm amazed they haven't been restickied yet. They are used for any accomplishment big or small (and they're usually very small). Does every skill rank up warrant a new thread? If not then where do we draw the line? Or are we that vain that we need validation from others every single time? Surely you don't think that "How did you do that?" brings any healthy discussion other stroking someone's ego? Not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm just pointing out the spammy nature of such topics. :c

Honestly, server status should be available as a built-in forum feature and automatically updated with server pinging. Then you wouldn't need that sticky OR the spammy threads.
Also, is there a reason that the failure and accomplishment threads need to be separate? They could easily be combined and then instead of 2 stickies where one is the opposite of the other, you have one.

The technical side of that isn't so simple as there's a lot of different variables in that. There's a lot of different servers and it may not be apparant which one is having issues.
Like you have your mob server, service server, then you have the channel servers. There's also the fact that it can't be built into the forums itself and Osay would have to make a separate tool all together for just that.
Also a failure is not the same as an accomplishment. Two completely different things. I don't know why you would want to post successes and failures in the same thread.

They're two categories of the same thing. If an event occurs to you during your playtime, you post the outcome. If the outcome was bad, it goes in the failure thread, and if the outcome was good, it goes in the accomplishment thread. Note that the definition of "Event" in this is used loosely.
It's like having a poll for whether you agree with something or not, and having you post why, in thread A if you agree, and thread B if you disagree.
