It's unnecessary.
It helped get the point across, so even though non-necessary, 'twas helpful.
It's unnecessary.
I don't want to read about how someone got 20 gold from Shadow Wizard Elite; I'd rather read about how someone just mastered every single talent in the game, and I'd highly prefer that the latter wasn't overshadowed by the former.
It seems like the unstickied threads everyone is arguing for to be stickied again are doing just fine on staying on the front page, despite being unstickied for several days now.
But now theres that "chance" that it will drop off the first page which is something id honestly rather not have to worry about at all.... Why even chance that it could fall off the first page? Why not just keep it stickied since its popular enough to be considered something to sticky? Theres no real viable reason for unstickying those threads.....
If you care so much about it, make the effort to keep it on the first page yourself. It's not like you're forced to forget it exists if it goes to page 2.
Me making sure it stays on the first page seems like a completely unnecessary thing
There are plenty of forums that operate with a sticky function that does not use it for anything other than purely informative purposes and they have plenty of success.
Popular threads stay up. Pointless or boring threads die instantly. The more active a forum, the better it regulates itself through an invisible community sift.
Why do i have to put more effort forth for something like that when it can simply be restickied? There was no good reason to unsticky it in the first place..... Me making sure it stays on the first page seems like a completely unnecessary thing to have to worry about when it can simply be solved by restickying.... Same can go for all unstickied threads too....
No one said it's up to you to keep these threads on the first page, or actually on the top of the first page.
Like it literally takes no effort at all to keep them up there, cause they're almost always up there
Stickies should only be used when they're needed, not when they would be nice.
